Not sure if this deserves a whole post but it all i have been dreaming about all day at work.

Someone at work has just bought a Subaru impreza Richard Burns Special.

And god does it look amazing

The fastest car round the twisty stuff medal award in my carpark is now not mine!

I love these, lucky man, they only made 320 and they were all sold before the magazines could review them! Seriously quick Impreza and looks better than ever in black with those wheels.

You have indeed been trounced in the point to point car park race now!

It is a quick point-to-point car but a bit of a one trick pony. A used 911 would be my choice over a WRX variant...

I really like it. Not as nice to look as the WR1 that it (sort of) replaces, but very nice nonetheless. I considered ordering one for about three seconds at the end of last year, but the lack of insurance offers and the thought of it being silly to be relatively poor just to have a nice car soon put me off the idea!

I'm sure I'll have 90% of the fun in a Trophy once I get one. Probably.

A fine car and an long-overdue nod of respect to a greatly under-rated driver (that's RB, not your work mate)

Nice pics. Ooo, it is very nice. The only thing I'd say against it is that the front grille looks a bit like a Ripspeed special, but the rest of it does look great (for an Impreza). I especially like the dark wheels and orange badging. :)

I love it, not the overall looks because they're still butt ugly but as Impreza's go this is up there with the P1. What a track weapon, and great fun annihilating exotica on the highway and track!

David, I'm sure you'll have 100% of the fun in the Trophy, it's not all about sheer speed (and on an average B-road it wouldn't be far behind) and I'd wager the Trophy has better driver feedback and involvement than even the Prodrive special Scooby.

the only straight line race you'd win is if you both stuck it in 5th and from a rolling start from 20mph, race to 100. you'd probably win.

Is that a race though?

It was fu(king funny when Clarkson did that Evo VIII MR FQ-400 in a diesel Skoda because the 400 was in fourth and the turbo's couldn't spool up!
