I've had my Saxo vtr from new for 6years and can now afford\justify a new car, i've always loved the RS clios since the 16valvers from the 90's, so me and the misses have decided that the Trophy is the one (cant afford a corsa vxr, clio 197 cup or 207 GTI rallye thing when they all come out).

Anyway anyone know any other places than Pistonheads, Autotrader and Allvehicles that are selling sub £12k cars with less than 8000k on the hickory dickory?

Also been qouted £600 fully comp unprotected for insurance with Swinton (drivewayed\28 and 29 year old\10000miles per year\no convictions or claims) any advice on other insurers (my current insurer would not even qoute!!).

Welcome!

Have a look for the posts by 'allvehicles'. He has a couple of cheap Trophys for sale at the moment.

Regarding insurance: give Green Light a call. They are brokers for Highway insurance and offer very competitive premiums.

Cheers

I'm just 'fixing' the saxo ready to sell and will be looking at a Trophy 5000miler thats coming into a Renault dealer in 2 weeks time, dont know how much yet but i'd say 11500K looks like the going rate so i'm ready and waiting (once my savings come through!).

I'll let you know if I buy any lower mileage cars. I was offered a higher mileage one today if anyone wants to put their hand up for a cheaper one ;)

You won't be able to wipe the smile off your face for hours. First time I stopped smiling was when I kerbed a wheel. Then I cried...

Do you live in Gower? I saw a Trophy down that way, I think it was Johnny's. You've got some great roads around you. I always have to double back on that road to Swansea and do it again. Need your wits about you for the sheep and horses though.
