Hi

After having some trouble with a misfire, I took my car to a garage and had the whole ignition system changed. It turns out they didn't replace the HT leads like for like and the ones I have now, though working fine, are quite a loose fit. My question is, should I replace these with the standard HT leads from Renault or is it worth upgrading from the standard and if so, what do you recommend?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Do you not have your old HT leads? There may be nothing wrong with them.

I would opt for the Renault HT leads or the 8.5mm HT leads from K-Tec, depending which is cheaper as I don't believe the 8.5mm leads make any difference.

I don't I'm afraid, with the car misfiring I wanted to keep the driving to a minimum and ended up in a place that knew what they were doing in terms of car electrics, but obviously just used the cheapest parts they could get their hands on. They kept the leads (presumably binned them), but thanks for the recommendation, I'll check that out now.
