Hello.....Looking at buying a Trophy

My first post so thought I'd say Hi and hopefully get some useful advice. (tup)

I'm looking for a new daily car and a friend who is registered on here (DMC) has recommended the Clio trophy.

I've been looking through the classifieds here, on Pistonheads and Autotrader and found a few cars which I'll probably go and see this week.

Is there a specific buyers guide for the trophy and more importantly are there any recognised specialists around the UK who could inspect the car prior to purchase?

I've never owned a Clio before so don't know anything about service intervals or common faults.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Kam,
Have a nose around. There's a 'sticky' thread in clio trophy discussion which lists many common faults.

The car should have the Aux belt changed at 3 years / 36000 miles. Be sure to have a good look at the dampers for damage or leaks. I don't think there are many specific problems.
