What causes the gear stick to return to the central position? Are there any bushes or springs that can be replaced?
Reason I ask is for a while mine hasn't felt very stiff/accurate its pretty vague/sloppy stirring the gear stick.
Also I can select reverse without lifting up the gearknob, I just push a bit further over than 1st and it goes into reverse.
Is it likely to be a new gear selector I need?
