Admittedly, I'm being very picky here, but the normal process of wear on the front seats due the seat belt has become irritating over the last couple of weeks. Also on the upper section of the seats, where your shoulders rest, has become slightly worn.

Are there any products that can be used to return the alacantra to its former "showroom" condition or should I consult a professional detailer to undertake the work for me?

Cheers,
Chris.

post up a picture - can't tell from the description if it's the alcantera your talking about or the faux leather.

The picture quality is not fantastic but hopefully you can see the 'shiny' part of the alacantara where the seat belt has been rubbing.

It has gone almost completely flat, is this reversible?[/img]

if it's just matted down it is, try rubbing it with a nubuck comb - the type you get for shoes.

If it's not matted and just worn away then it's a case of getting the seats retrimmed i'd have thought.
