Hi guys

Will be fitting my ITG Maxogen tomorrow.

Just a quick question regarding Acoustic Valve... I obviously won't be using this anymore.

Is it a case of just unplug it and disconnect the vacuum hose?

Do I need to block the vacuum hose with a bolt in the end? And if I am correct, this is the hose that runs from the inlet manifold (to the left of throttle body) down to the valve? I assume this needs to remain connected to the inlet manifold and just blocked at the other end when disconnected from the valve?

Cheers for any help.

Ash

All you need to do is bolt up the Vac pipe and leave it in place.

I changed mine to a silicone one with a dap of silicone sealer and a bolt

Cheers for the reply Marc.

Already fitted it today, I just left the acoustic valve there and just unplugged it. Didn't have the time to remove the arch liner to get in at the acoustic valve. I'll have the bumper off soon so will remove it properly then and bolt the end up.

Cheers

Either a 4 or 6mm silicone bung from ebay is only a couple £.

I assume this you just put on the manifold end so you don't have to run the vacuum line with a bolt in the end?

Could be interested in that, do you know for sure if it is 4 or 6mm?

it doesn't really matter, i put mine on the end of the line and brought it back up into the engine bay along with the loom to the valve.
