I've been given 5.1 by Fred from Yozzaport. I think he knows what he 's doing. Might have been the one lying around the workshop though.

I have tried before to work out which is the best of the available brake fluids, and I made no progress!

I thought it would have been easy, look at the boiling points and work out which offers the highest and buy that...but when I looked at Motul Dot 5.1, it had a dry boiling point of 270 degrees, and a wet boiling point of 185 - the Elf stuff that Reno dealerships use has a dry boiling point of 280 and a wet of 178, so only a few degrees different?!?

I don't get how the Motul fluid can perform better when the figures are pretty much the same - or am I missing the point?

The thing is, I really need new fluid after boiling mine at my last trackday, but I just can't work out which one to go for and why!

Sorry to be no help Cue!

same quandry as me by the sounds of it, although mine doesn't need changing, it will be done with the new pads etc.
