Hi, don’t know if this has been brought up before but is it safe to use Maguire’s/Carplan? On these alloys? I dont want it to rip the paint of them or whatever.

Cheers

I've not used either of those myself.

Used the dreaded Wonderwheels on my second set of front wheels yesterday. Normally I wouldn't let that stuff near my car but they were seriously caked with brake dust. I was quite surprised they cleaned up as well as they did.

it can cause pit marks over time - WW is a very strong acid - it can remove the paint but only over time, not strong enough to strip it with one coat.

yeh i meant wonder wheels instead of carplan, couldnt remember what it was called.

Im just a bit dubious about putting it on them incase it starts stripping the paint off.
