I took ownership of 113/500 over the weekend so I thought I would start a little thread to show progress etc.

The car itself is in good condition, mechanically perfect with belts and dephaser not due for 2 years and currently Sachs are in good condition.

Car is standard apart from a Ktec catback with centre silencer, gives it a nice deep tone but not too bad when driving normally which is what I wanted.

The bodywork on the car has seen better days with the door handles, roof strips and and boot badge surround going pink, these parts have been ordered and are making their way to Spray shack to be sprayed.

The bonnet has some rust to the bottom corner so this eventually will be replaced but thats last on the list to be honest.

As far as mods go im not going to do any performance mods I dont think as these cars are great as they are BUT I will do some interior bits (I always do on my cars). I plan to have the dash strips sprayed red with the trophy number on one of them and I will have the gear knob insert sprayed red with white lettering as the current one is worn right down.

Here's some pics from when I went to view the car and one on my driveway where its not moved since buying lol.

Nothing exciting but gave the car a clean over the weekend after driving it for the first time, so much fun and so different to my daily diesel, feels great to be back in a hot hatch again!

Few pics from the clean including the heavily contaiminated alloys lol

Sprayed parts have now arrived, will get them unpacked and get some pictures up. Opted for SprayShack to do the work as ive used them for quite a few things now for past Renault cars. Had 2x Door handles, 2x roof strips and boot badge surround sprayed

Part of the cost was a service but the issue is the EML came on and started misfiring. Changed two injectors there were coming up with faults and also needs a new CAT as its smashed to pieces inside

She's ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No more misfire, no more rough idle, feels like a new car, runs absolutely perfect now!

Turns out the issue with the rough idle and 'destructive misfire' was the other two injectors that hadnt been replaced so 4 brand new Bosch injectors later and all is well.

The overall parts list consisted of:
New Spark Plugs
New Coil Pack
New HT Leads
New Injectors x4
CAT off an old 182
Full Service

Resprayed door handles fitted too :)
