Just after a bit of advice regarding brake set-up front & rear for road use only, i know there has been a thread recently regarding brembo discs and alot of you probably replied within that post.

Anyway i was wondering if there's any pro's or con's running with different discs at the front and back? i.e. Brembo Max on front & Brembo HC on rear..??

If the above option isn't suitable what people would recommed??

Thanks,

Chris

No difference really

The main difference in discs is their ability to withstand high temperatures. The rears don't get hot enough to warrant grooved discs.

A different pad compound front-rear will make more of a difference, as it will knock out the brake balance slightly, thereby reducing the overall braking 'potential'. Although the rears don't generate much stopping power (about 20%) a 'standard' pad on the back vs an aggressive pad at the front could hamper your overall braking potential by I would guess around 5%.
