Boot lock

My boot seems to be permanently locked. Has anyone else had this problem? Any advice appreciated. Thanks

5 times out of 100 it will open so keep trying if you want something out. I took it to renault under warranty and they simply replaced the catch.

Mine did that just before WSR 08, solenoid was replaced under warranty

Thanks for the update. I'd only need to use the boot if I got a puncture and needed to get the spare wheel out. Its a shame my warranty ran out 2 weeks ago

They aren't mega money anyway. It's virtually guaranteed to be the solenoid, think it's a pretty common failure and if you are slightly practical get the part and DIY

got a problem with my boot lock, it won't lock, just stays open all the time. any ideas on solenoid part costs and how tricky a job it is to fit?
