Yup got that and used that. LOL

The torch isn't too hot, i've since got a better maglight. The accident report thing is o.k, handy to know what details to take when the adrenalin is pumping.

Thats it, i've still got mine in the car, minus a few bits, i'd like to get a boot net though, so i can put the repair foam and the pack in the boot rather than clog up the glovebox.

Im still after a boot net, i tried to win one on ebay a few days back but it went over £20 + postage. I'm still holding out for the sales guy at renault who said he'd try and swipe one out of a modus :p

I'm going to nip up a couple of scrappies over the next few days, so i'll root about for a clios and have a look in the boots. If i find more than one i'll post it.

Yeah i got through the 'panic suspension request pack'

In it was a blank cheque for renault to fill in for new dampers, a number of a French company with a recorded message continually saying they have supply problems, and a set of normal 182 dampers for when the realisation dawns on everyone that replacement dampers are not available. :p

That would be funny if I didn't fear that some of that is very true. :?

Its a well know fact that after production of the williams ended alot of williams parts became 'normal' parts. No williams parcel shelf available for example, only a normal one. renault are under no obligation to supply a direct replacement, as long as they supply something that forfills the function of the original. I fear thet the expense of supplying a small number of specialist dampers will result in 182 dampers becoming the superceding part.

I think it will be cheaper to have the front dampers rebuilt ie gases, oil and seals. They are similar to the one I had on my motocross bike years ago and they just use to rebuild them once the oil had been cooked and the gas had dissapeared.

I made sure I took the one out of my 182 before I traded it in. It's really handy for keeping your lid under.

KS, dampers are a little more important than a parcel shelf.

They have them, it's just that they aren't recognised or priced on the systems over here.

Importance has nothing to do with it. Renault are within their legal rights to change part specification without notice to their customers.

It might not happen, but i wouldnt be suprised if it did.

Vauxhall stopped supplying brake disks for the Carlton after 10 years. Owners had to get them made up by an engineer at great cost. Nothing the owners could do about it. Vauxhall just said, swivel on this.

Has everyone had one of these "Accident Management Packs" because I haven't.

A mate of mine told me about them about six months ago but I've never received one.

I got that little blue folder thing through the post in January, but thats all I got.

Am I missing anything?
