I might be completely wrong on this, but the first thing I usually look at is the tyres on a car,
even if its at a car show or a C&C.
If they are from the cheaper/unknown end of the tyre manufacturer spectrum, it usually
starts ringing alarm bells.
The old adage, if they have skimped on getting properly decent tyres, what else have they
tried to save money on.
And if its a hodge lodge of different makes, that's another sign to take note of.

You’re totally right here Nick. It will make good money purely on the mileage. Given the cheap tyres fitted to a car known for handling (criminal act in my opinion) then you have to wonder where else during the history have they not spent the money where it was needed!Take this for instance that’s coming soon with only 38000 miles -

Not to go off topic, but the car has done 400 miles since 2007!!
So can understand not having good tyres on it
