197 Offer (If anyone's really thinking of changing!!)

This just in my inbox. New Clio 197 incl Metallic for Ã‚Â£13995 OTR with 12m RFL. There's a six week delivery time, any further info just pm me. One or two have swapped Trophy or 182 Cup for 197 and I'd always look at a p/x. Cheers, Steve.

sorry to take the thread off this but, REALLY??????? who's swapped a Trophy for a 197? Are they mad?

Definitely offered a Trophy by someone who was going to buy a 197 but maybe not a CT forum regular. I don't think they will drop much lower than this new for a while which does leave a bit of a gap between 197 and late low miles 182s.

Through a broker who mailed me. But I can do p/x unlike many other brokers who have them up for the same money. Personally it doesn't make sense to me to support these and 225 registrations with bonuses, they should be kept a niche car.

The guy who advertised the 1 owner 4,000 mile Trophy on pistonheads for Ã‚Â£10.5k was p/x'ing for a 197 I believe :roll:

No thanls, TROPHY is the best that I have HAD delivered to date in terms of perforamnce and handling, i am waiting for its nemisis; whatever that maybe but i dont think the new shape clio will be the relpacement in any shape of form; RS TWINGO VXR CORSA OR MEGANE 230 , WHO KNOWS..................New CTR maybe.

The 197 is really not a replacment for the Trophy. However it is still good in its own way. Maybe thats why a certain female Trophy owner is always drving one when available. :lol:
