What you're are saying is bob on the money in my book fella.
You want slightly, and we are only talking slightly, less grip on the front. That way when you are pushing the car to its limit you know the front will start to lose traction first, I've never lost the back end but I'm pretty sure its...
Cheers, I did not know about the date of production! I thought it would be best to have the best rubber on the rear, stopping any potential tail overtaking moments!
Final question - Can I just swap the rear alloys to the front to save paying £7.50 per tyre change, or is it best to keep the...
I'm thinking of buying a couple of Mich PE3's as the fronts need replacing.
Rears have covered at least 15,000 miles but have good tread.
Do you,
A) Replace the fronts with the new tyres?
Or
B) Switch the partially worn tyres on the rear to the front, and put the new tyres on the rear.
?
Sounds best, I can imagine what state they will be in! Don't suppose you know the part number so I don't have to explain to the pleb behind the parts counter? Any ideas on cost also?
Cheers!
Cheers dude. Any ideas what size sockets/spanners I need? Also what do you do with the lambda probe after, is there a slot in the de-cat or does it just hang loose?
Thanks
Thinking of purchasing a de-cat pipe for a standard trophy exhaust and fitting it myself.
Are there any guides anywhere? If not, what tools will I need for the job folks and anything I need to know?
Thanks
Ben.
Could do with 2 new front tyres and was wondering what people thought of these for general road use?

only £10 more than the PE3's, guessing they offer considerably more grip in the dry being a track focused tyre? But wondering just how...
Always use last touch after every wash. I also use it as a clay lube. Fantastic value product diluted 1:1. Highly recommend it mate.
You will probably get more detailing info from http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/i ... fdf46b9f6b
Alright guys, my wheel nuts are looking a bit worse for wear with bits of rust poking through.
What colour paint best matches the wheels and where can I order it from? Do I need to apply primer first also?
Cheers.
The gdi vid on youtube sounds pretty good. I think I might just bite the bullet and go the different route. Its a toss between try the piper or get the janspeed. Im after a raspy exhaust that dosent idle boomy, but comes alive when given some.
Does anyone have the piper exhaust fitted http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RENAULT-CLIO-182- ... 1c091a21f5
I've liked piper in the past but can't seem to find any vids on youtube, someone must have one out there right!?
Well with my front pair of mich ex's on the way out I fancy getting some Toyo R888's. Is anyone running these on the standard speedlines, if so how much and what size?
Mines come on twice since I bought the car a few months ago.
It's only stayed on for a couple of journeys to and from work though (50 miles) and then it stays out.
Both times it has come on have been when I have been really low on petrol so im not sure if that has any impact at all? Maybe the...
So you got this one? http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=1264 "Sports" rather than "super sports"?
I've been toying with the idea of this but I just can't make up my mind which version. Do you have any pics and vids yet??
They'd be of great help if you have any :)
oh I thought it was best to check them cold. I'm going past a decent tyre gauge at the weekend, what sort of PSI should be looking at after 30mins of driving to be the equivilant of 30/28 cold?
