I did try, its just a little too deep to be successful though unfortunatly. Its hard to get a clear shot of it. You certainly can't see it unless you are intentionally looking for it!

I get this creaking noise as well. I can't figure it out, but it started only when reversing, but now it happens when I am going forward and at slow speeds. I have had one CV joint replaced, there is no travel in the ball joints either. Top mounts? Really starting to annoy me!! :evil:

Not what you like to find when you open the garage door in the morning! Safe to say that one is dead, any advice what to replace it with? Should I just replace that one with a standard item or replace both rear shocks with Konis while im at it? Any real advantage with Konis? Cheers Ollie

Hi all, Just checked my oil (I use silkolene Pro S 5W-40) and I was under the impression fully synthetic oil should be clear(ish). Mine has, in the 1200miles since I changed it gone a dark brown, almost black. I have done a trackday though, although I wouldnt think it would turn it that colour...

I have just had a similar problem to you, going out of a 30 with a Golf GTdi up my chuff, put my foot down in second and the Golf kept up, whats going on! Was up to full temp, has it lost some power? Might have to take it to a rolling road and get it checked out.... Ollie
