    It's only been 2 1/2 years.....

So number 049 is now finally back on the road.. New alternator, all the belts, dephaser pulley, water pump. New mot, failed on wiper blades and an indiactor bulb, not bad after all that time in a garage. Full service and new ps3 all round. Yes the bill was horrendous, but worth it......

Hi All, Its been a while since being on here.... I would like to get my Trophy (049) out of the garage (its only been nearly 2 years SORN). Last MOT I had an advisory for the front PE2 tyres being cracked. I had changed the rears to PS3 83v, and so I thought I got some new PS3 83v from Demon...

How long do you intend to keep your Trophy?

Still have 049. I've had this for just over 5 yrs now. Now its just covered 36k. Now garaged an d doesn't get used that much now. Last year it only covered 500 miles. Can't see myself ever getting rid of it. Certainly puts a smile on my face now when it does get used.

    advice on which 4wd

The build quality on the freelanders are ok, like I said get the later model ones, as all the niggles are sorted out. Plus you get traction control and hill decent etc. as standard Reliability issues are only on the K series 1.8 petrol engines, head gaskets tend to go. The TD4 (bmw engine) is...

Cue, Go for a post 52 plate Freelander TD4 auto ES (top spec with heated leather seats etc). Brought mine back in March this year. Have upgraded the crankcase breather to a BMW one (has no filter so can't get blocked). A EGR bypass valve and some yoko geolander g012 ATS tyres. I've been to...
