Currently thinking about buying a Clio 200. Whats the best way to know if it has the cup chassis option or not? Am I right in thinking that if it's got the anthracite wheels and the red brake calipers than it's got the sportier suspension??
We're flying out next week so the car really needs to be sold by next week. So sadly (for me) now on Ebay:

Someone is going to get a bargain.

People are currently paying more than this for standard 182's - this is a future classic here people!!!! :?
Heres some pics and some additional info'.

Belts not done yet, but according to Renault when it was in getting last service (sept '09), these arn't due until 72k anyway.
Car has to go, so willing to drop the price and will accept 6k for her, which has got to make this the cheapest (by quiet some bit) of all the Trophs currently...

To be honest we find our T to be good on fuel (especially relative to the performance), but can feel like it's thirsty as it has a relatively small tank so you are filling it up quiet often!!
I was thinking 15" wheels with list -1b, Avon ACB10 (A24 Compound tyres), which you can get in a 215/45/15. The 15's would give a lower rolling diameter and thus reduce your gearing, which could be beneficial!
And as a minimum; some front neg' camber bolts, front pads (any recommendations)...
Currently debating selling my current hillcimb car and using the wifes Trophy to enter a few rounds. But just looking for some advice on what to mod on the car.
Want to keep it as original as possible and run in the production, road class. Weighing up a few options just now so appreicate any...
Definately check the heat shield. Out Troph had been rattling and I found this had corroded around the fitting bolts and was hitting the back box. I just replace the fitting bolt washers with nice big ones and all was well.
Also check your exhaust mounting brackets as these can deteriorate...
When looking through my paper work I found the official promotional CD-Rom with the following video on it

Might be of interest if not seen it before!!!
Just testing the water but mrs Tonto has decided she wants to get rid of the Trophy :( .
But she has said she would take a Megane as the replacement :(
So if anyones potentially looking to swap a nice R26 perferably black or white with Recaros in the next few months then pop me a PM...
hello, that was me:-) well, tonto's wife - long distance runner, hence the number plate!!
good wee convoy indeed, made the journey south far more fun:-)
Didn't get the chance to see what number it was. But was an 05 plate (first registered july 05), 1 previous owner, 27k miles. Needed new front tyres and probably rear disks and had a few small scrathces on the rear but in general wasn't too bad looking at all.
Went for £6500, I very...
mine does this too. Sometimes the ABS light comes on as well!!
Had it back to renault and they said it was the brake warning system, which they recalibrated but a few weeks later it started again.
Everythign seems to work fine but, still bloody annoying!
Quite keen to try a Whiteline rear ARB on the Trophy, mostly read good reports. Any thoughts from anyone?
Also note there is the start of a group buy over on the cliochav forum, sorry I mean cliosport.
Autotrader - Bit of waste of money in my opinion. Only ever got calls from people wanting to sell me more advertising!!
Pistonheads is the place to go for sure. You can put it in at a higher price, then in a couple of weeks if it's not gone, delete your original Ad and stick another one in...
Is you ABS light coming on at the same time??
If so I had the same issue. Took it to renault and they diagnosed that my ECU software thought my brake pads were low (which they weren't). Re-calibrated the system and all now well.
Worth getting an engine diagnostic done to find out where...
