So number 049 is now finally back on the road..
New alternator, all the belts, dephaser pulley, water pump.
New mot, failed on wiper blades and an indiactor bulb, not bad after all that time in a garage. Full service and new ps3 all round.
Yes the bill was horrendous, but worth it......
My daughter has just passed her test and wanted you use Tommy.
I said 'like to see you get that insured'
£1800 as a named driver or out right with a black box £4800, how I laughed.
Well I had to wait for about 5 weeks, but now have my ps3's. Next stage new alternator, reprogrammed imoboliser, service, mot and tax..may even get it on the road this year...yikes. (only been nearly 2 years sorn). Kreps the milage down I guess..
Hi All,
Its been a while since being on here....
I would like to get my Trophy (049) out of the garage (its only been nearly 2 years SORN).
Last MOT I had an advisory for the front PE2 tyres being cracked.
I had changed the rears to PS3 83v, and so I thought I got some new PS3 83v from Demon...
Still have 049. I've had this for just over 5 yrs now. Now its just covered 36k. Now garaged an
d doesn't get used that much now. Last year it only covered 500 miles. Can't see myself ever getting rid of it. Certainly puts a smile on my face now when it does get used.
Guys,
General thoughts on tyres.
I noticed the other day my rear tyres are seriously cracked, I think they look like the orginal PE2.
They still have plenty of tread on them, but doubt very much they will pass the MOT in June ?
I know there is a sticky on tyre choice on here.
