Did the major service include belts? Might help to mention them for sale purposes.

For that money id be looking at add a little more info tbh.

FSH should include 5-7 stamps (every 12k miles or 12 months remember)
Have the belts been done, & by whom?
Condition of the dampers, 7 years old & no refurb?
Pictures of the damage, and of the car in general?

Full Renault major service carried out by renault mechanic working at renaults body shop repair garage. Renault check sheet carried out for 72K miles or 5 years which ever comes first (this is including aux belt, cam belt, new water pump, fuel filter etc.... I had extras as well including HT leads, spark plugs and new rocker cover sealant. Engine at the time was also re-timed and ECU software updated.
Dampers solid as a rock with no movement and are in a very clean condition with no signs of leaks or marks.

So were the belts done as a 'homer' by the Renault chap, or do you have company invoices/stamps for the work done? Why was it re-timed, that would suggest that the cam-timing was incorrect to begin with?
Fuel filter? You sure lol. As far as i was aware, on the 182 its on the intank fuel pump, so non-serviceable ... unless you changed the pump as well?

Im not being awkward, but you are expecting massive money, so the car/history needs to be impecable imho.

Correct the fuel filter is part of the sender unit. What was with the ECU software update as the only reason you would have this doon if you have a running fault.

The service with belts was carried out by Renault sport specialist mechanic from my local Renault garage who carried the work out at Renaults body work repair garage as the guy who owns the garage (my mate) is mates with the specialist as well as the renault parts guy. -- Sorry if that was a bit confusing.

Therefore the stamps are from the body shop garage however invoices state the genuine Renault sport 72K major service check sheet with extras including genuine Renault parts. -- Im away on business this week and will update exactly what was done when I return this weekend.

I was told that my engine timing is carried out via probes and is done whenever Cam-belt is replaced to ensure the engine is timed correctly.

I will check the Fuel filter on my service sheet but I remember seeing it on there.

The ECU software update was carried out by the mechanic to ensure I had the latest one. He has told me there was only a total of two however he wanted to ensure I had the latest one so wiped the old and loaded the most recent.

Im sorry, but what rofl.gif

A cambelt is done using locking tools like this:

Not like this:

If i were you, id check exactly what your 'mate' did, because the 'probes' along with the fuel filter suggest that they either have no idea wtf they are doing, or they are just being typical stealers, taking you for a ride, then filling you with bullshit.

Edit: reading back through your thread here: http://www.cliotrophy.co.uk/forum/showthread.php/50348-A-reason-for-lack-of-power you state that the car suffered from a 'lack of power' and 'lumpy idle' after the service, unfortunately both prime candidates for the cambelt being timed incorrectly. For your own piece of mind, and especially as you are trying to obtain such a premium for your car, i would suggest getting the cambelt timing checked sooner rather than later. £20 says it is wrong :)

After the service I did feel the car had lost power and was one of the reasons my ECU software was checked. When I said to him has the engine been timed correctly as this could be causing the lack in power? he did say the engine was re-timed and is "locked in place" via those tools you are talking about.
The ECU update did seem to work however am not sure whether this was just a psychological thing ...

Either way the car was serviced by a mate who was mates with the Renault guy so therefore I know this would have not happend,
