If anyone is with green light and due there re-Newal it’s time to jump ship and start looking else where

I have been with green light for 6 years with an agree’d value of £6000.
I have never had an increase or questioned the value as I’m not someone that thinks my car is worth treble what’s it’s worth.

Got my new quote through and called green light to be told that there is now NO LONGER any agreed value being offered and that this is getting phased out.

Anyone who has a good agreed value on a 90k car that’s used as a daily or anyone who has a garage queen with 15k on the clock that does 500 miles a year your agreed value is being phased out and you won’t get it come renewal time.

Also my price has not changed and for my insurance in the last 6 years with 10+ years NCB.

A lot of insurance companies just don't see these anything special, "it is just a clio" lol, when I owned one I rang quite a few companies and had no joy, fingers crossed you can find one that will

In the cases where agreed values are not in place have most people not eventually managed to get a decent payout despite initial hassle?

Only recently gone through this issue.
I found Adrian Flux can offer agreed values, they didnt see it as a problem...
Although a lot of others , as you say are not doing the agreed values anymore...

Its a shame as I stuck with green light over the last 6 years , Not for the agree'd value but more for the club and forums and the rep they had.

Its a shame as I will be taking all 3 cars I have with them and going else where.

I've tended to fluctuate between greenlight and adrian flux over the last decade. Only issue with AF is the insurer they generally use isn't as highly rated as Greenlight's list of insurers.

But I'm not that bothered about agreed values, you don't have to accept any payout offered and given enough evidence, will win any argument in front of the ombudsman or court that it's worth more than any future estimate is likely to have it listed as.

I'm half looking forward to day they take me on - I've a mate with a RS2000 Cosworth Escort, who's has it insured for 6 times it's original purchase price and they were ten a penny back in the day. The trophy being seen as the pinnacle front wheel drive car it is, plus it's limited run, i'll be arguing it's under valued at double it's original purchase price!
