I recall a chap selling his T a few months back who had swapped the dampers to Twingo rally car spec. From memory he claimed they were identical other than the inclusion of an additional ‘scraper’ ring to further reduce dirt ingress (a known weakness/drawback of course).
These are an amazing...
Entering the Civic Centre carpark, opposite the David Gray gig (approx 8.00pm Friday 9th Nov). Immaculate finish. Appeared to emulate the classic scarlet-red hue of Maranello's best under the amber street ligting.
Committed and enthusiastic 'works' engineers and mechanics tend to have ther own 'out of hours' get-togethers when they will tweak, refine and experiment in any way possible to better their product (many well known, extreme and much loved cars have been born in such a way). Nearing the end of...
Watch the final F1 qualifying session from Budapest today? Alonso - THE most unsporting 'sportsman' to ever pull on a pair of driving gloves? Discuss.......
Breaking up is hard to do
Yep, my ex. Much missed, particularly when I see her around town with another man on her arm! Havn't seen any evidence of the new owner participating within the forum, despite the sticker being left on the car. :(
Just sold number 273 on Friday. Left the forum sticker on her so hopefully the new owner will sign up. 8, 400 miles of absolute bliss. I don't think there is anything out there that will fill the void. Keep enjoying them while you can people!!!!!!!!
Cheers

I'm considering parting from my princess. She's just celebrated her first birthday ('55' year registration) and completed 8,000 miles - me as the first and only (mature) owner. Never tracked or dinged - fuel computer averaging 33.9 mpg over past 4,000+ miles! Always run on Optimax / V-Power...

Good 2 (almost) bump into you Sam, I stand corrected on the reg  - hope the trip to the dealership is nothing serious?????
I'm based in South-West Birmingham Nige.
That reasoning doesn't work for me - it is far more than mere moisture vapour during a cold snap. During 10 years of driving performance cars I've never had anything like this amount of output and other owners have reported it regularly during early ownership before it has been permanently...
Must withdraw last submission - exhaust haze visible again tonight between 6 & 7,000 rpm after a whole hour of fast moving roads. Mobil 1 too early and not enough opportunities to stretch its legs me thinks?????? Any thoughts people?
Yeah I was surprised to see this haze again (1,600 m) - acted as something of an offensive gesture to a slow moving merecedes estate having finally found the opportunity to safely get round him on a single carriageway. Always used optimax / mobile 1 in my case. I 've found that it only ever...
Yeah but still - a car in principal valued at 15.5k and group 17D! My first car (aged 19) was a Mk 1 MR2 worth about 3k, group 13 and that cost me £1,300 a year third party (not even including fire) - no claims, no points!!!! :?: :!: :?:
