    Locked keys inside!

Currently stood at Sainsburys waiting for the wife to arrive with the spare key [emoji2359] I’ll be paying for that later! Any way to stop them auto locking? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rear Shocks - What is everyone running?

About 2 years ago I got my hands on a set of unused original rear shocks and put them straight on the car. Over the weekend one has started to leak quite a lot of fluid. I don’t fancy my chances of finding one at a reasonable price so was thinking of either putting the Koni adjustables or the...

    Creaky First/second/first Gear Change

Has anyone experienced a creaky feeling in the gear lever when changing from 1st to 2nd and back? Seems to have appeared in the warmer weather. Maybe some sort of bushes have perished? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Seat Position Sensor?

I think this is a seat position sensor but I’m not 100% sure. It was loose having come away from the screw holding it, didn’t seem to flag any warning lights. I’ve glued the pieces back together but if It doesn’t work will I need to replace it? Looks like a new one would have to be spliced today...

    New Alternator?

Just before the lockdown the battery and “stop” light came on. There are no error codes recorded. On the journey home the lights appeared to go off under harder acceleration. They’re now on when I start the car. With both illuminated the manual says that the battery is either over or under...

MOT Failure - Front Strut Nuts

Quick question... #444 has just failed its MOT because the nuts on the top of the front struts are not “a locking type”. It’s been to the same place since I had it and they’ve never picked up on this before. No idea if I’m being jerked around. I’m guessing that the Trophy nuts are a larger...

    Power Steering Pump Replacement

Having had all the belts etc done last year the power steering pump looks like it’s on it’s way out. The pulley looks like it has a slight wobble. Are there any jobs I should have done “while they’re in there”? Water pump was done with the belts last year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Tapatalk Issues

I’ve been having problems using a Tapatalk to access the forum. I find it useful as they host images that I post. They have got back to me with the following: “The forum you are trying to reach does not have a working Tapatalk plugin running, hence causing the issue. We’ll contact the forum...

    Motors@Mamhilad - 29th July

Just thought I’d mention that a local charity is organising a car show at Mamhilad Business Park on the 29th July. It’s in between Newport and Abergavenny (link below to Facebook page). I’ll be there but it’d be nice to have a couple other Trophies representing...

    Treadline Leather Repairs

Has anyone used a company to repair an open crack in the leather? I have a 10cm open crack on the driver side lower bolster nearest to the door. I’m struggling to find anyone around South Wales to do a mobile repair. I’m undecided whether to get a repair or have the bolster reupholstered. It...

    Fuel Rail Guard Removal

How to you get this fuel rail guard off? I purchased some longer length sockets but they still won’t get to the nut! Is there a special tool for the job? I can’t see any reason why the sockets shouldn’t reach or fit around the nut. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    DIY Cambelt Change

Has anyone attempted to change the belts, pulleys etc themselves? Looks like a pain in the backside to me. I don’t mind a little DIY but am a little apprehensive. Anyone tried it? I’ve had some quotes between £650 and £850 (with parts) so there’s money to be saved but is it worth doing it...

    Need a Trophy

Hi all! The kids are finally starting school so no more nursery bills. Now i need to spend my spare cash on a Trophy! It would be a third car so I'm not as concerned about mileage as someone who would use it every day. What I need is a well cared for example that won't need much work...
