If you are applying by hand autoglym super resin polish came out top in the reviews. Their extra gloss protection works well at protecting the paint after polishing too, lasts at least a month and still beads well after a few months but i'd top up at least every 2 months.
If you are applying by...
I am MistaT ;)
There's a guy in sevenoaks on here maybe two of them in sevenoaks actually, the person i saw yesterday(didn't think it was you as i've seen your in yours before), the guy i see on the way to work and back every day who doesn't seem to be on here, RS forum or cliosport :roll...
As you can see from the diagram, these cars use a timer on the starter motor too, this stops idiots from keeping the motor engaged when the engine is started. This could cause problems, but yours sounds like it could be the battery or an earth.
I had a battery on a saxo vts that had been in the...
Hey all!
I have refitted the standard head unit and some cheap speakers to my trophy. Therefore i have my focal component setup for sale!
These speakers are designed for high sound quality and in a different league to the usual crap you see in the shops.
Here are a few details:
2-way 13cm...
A nice clean trophy pulled out in front of me just by the common and turned off into rusthall. Who was it?
We must have 5 owners within a small area, we should get together for a photoshoot soon. One of my mates is a proper pro photographer and wants to do some more experimental stuff with...
My noise is almost certainly coming from the column. I have a 182 cup column on 18k at home but i've been putting off fitting it for ages because it looks like a bit of a ballache to do and i'm not paying £225 labour, besides if i do it myself i'll know it's been done properly.
Rentech couldn't...
The door cards are very dark grey & the rear bench is the dodgy black & grey, same as the 182 cup. Don't the swiss trophies have the cup material on the recaros?
I ordered part 20 from the 2nd diagram and it didn't fit, the two left hand columns are for base models with the electric steering motor on the column, then the one on the right(which costs £340odd) is the one for a trophy...
I guess i should update this thread with my problem.
I get the knock...
Not you in that case, was a guy driving!
I see quite a few trophies and none of their owners are on the forum
It's a proper fanatics car so i'd expect the majority of owners to be active on the owners club but it appears not.
Sane noise on mine, linked to substandard handling. There is slight play in the bottom section of my steering column, feels like there is something else too, i won't stop until i get to the bottom of it!
I'm guessing they don't make original GT rims hoolio? One of my friends was obsessed with GTTs for ages, he had about 5. He has settled with a 172 cup now
If by chance they do actually still make them, then i'm happy to help, can't see it somehow #-o
I have a trade account with speedline UK which hasn't been used for AGES as i just don't have time to sell car parts any more on top of my main job & building various peoples track cars.
Anyway i rang up earlier to order a new chrono for my track 106 as one of mine bit the dust in a high speed...
They will take 700degC plus Ben, optimum temperature for M1155s is between 300 and 500deg. This would have dropped substantially by the backing plate as that would be pad surface temp, but still they are going to be able to take more heat than most decent fluid could cope with by the time the...
Have you got grooved discs Ben? Grooved discs usually help a lot in wet weather as obviously they allow the water to be cleared from the friction area easier.
I used M1155s in my 4 pots after DS2500s and they weren't as good on road but out on track when they got really hot they were fine when...
As above. Pedal to floor is fluid. Excessive pressure required to get decent braking performance is pads. The discs won't matter. Cheap pads are usually much worse than standard. If you're not going on track at all in future just fit some renault pads as uprated ones aren't as good from cold.
Saw another T driver both mornings going the other way. Looks like the same guy i saw on the newchapel road a good while back. Got a flash so presumably he's on here :)
Makes it one more local trophy, they are lurking =D>
I usually pay £40 inc vat for a top quality refurb. The most i've ever seen was £60+vat, even then it's a lot less than £117!!!
Must be a decent place locally?
If i'm honest there are far better out there than brembo, you're paying for the name in a way although they do a fair bit of R&D and their calipers are pretty indestructible plus spares are readily available which is why they are fitted as OE by virtually every manufacturer that fits multi...
I've got radial mount brembos on my 106.
Most brembos fitted to cars from the factory have the mounting brackets cast as part of the caliper body - 1 piece. Aftermarket brembos are radial mount allowing you to machine your own brackets, this means that you can decide what size of disc you use...
Sorry for yet another mpg thread, but i find it quite an interesting subject!
I filled up after work on thursday(shell 95 as was only option), drove home, average was 46mpg by the time i'd got back.
Still hovering around 43mpg after work the next day.
Drove up to central london at 8pm, still at...
Gone down a lot then! They wanted like £150 each for a pair when i asked.
I have a garage locally that does my tyre fitting and alignment cash in hand for cheap, was wondering if there might be somewhere nearer than tonbridge but alas not!
£15 a tyre for fitting is quite a lot, i have paid...
