Wouldn't have thought they're illegal, plenty of other cars have drilled metal pedals, just looking at pics of the new Civic Type R actually and sure enough, drilled metal pedals! I know what you mean though, had a couple of slip myself in mine!
Yep use CC on a clear motorway, it's a bit useless if there's lots of traffic - once you get used to it, it's great! I used it to drive over to the 'ring in Germany and saved the "real" driving for when I arrived there!
Just ordered one of these leads off ebay last night. I do have the Apline Ipod head unit but as previously said, trying to find a song through it's controls is a nightmare! I'm looking forward to being able to use my stalk remote again when I put the standard Head Unit back in.

Just to add my two penneth to this thread, I just installed the Alpine 9850ri into my Trophy today. It cost £199 me but I later found it online for £154 (D'oh!) for anyone interested. I was originally going to go for the Dension Ice system but the local Uplands didn't stock...
