Hee hee, I'm having great fun at the moment in the MX-5, it's a joke! It has four different tyres, none of them costing more than £40 new and in this weather it's like driving a riverboat, you can hang the back out on corners at about 15 mph, I literally have to drive it a quarter of the...
I'm going to keep an eye on this, excellent idea Matt. Let me know when your first track day is in it and I'll try and book the same one so I can have a proper look, I'm planning to do lots in 2008, my Christmas list is trackday, tyres.
If only I could fit into an Exige/Elise. Would definitely consider a MK1.
Really tempted by the Mustang Bullitt though, a proper muscle car, even down to the live rear axle.
Dream next car would be a GT-R of course. Quicker than a GT2 and Cayman money. Money no object would be a 430 Scuderia.
True, spill all.
Here's my next steed, At £15K it's bargain of the century, and before you say it, the badge on the back is going!

Sorry to hear that Rich, if it makes you feel better some little single celled organism who's step-daddy arse-raped every day of his young life walked over my car last week and imploded the front windscreen. £700 for a new one thanks to the special thin glass. Cheers.
I miss my Trophy real bad, was trawling through some old pictures last night and it brought back memories of driving across France, evading the Gendarmes and scaring the piss out of Emily with lift off oversteer moments.
It makes other cars seem like they're trying too hard, current steed...
I don't know about that, I thought the Trophy turned in as well as a car could until I got the DC2, you can really feel the LSD work when you throw it into the corners, I think any car can benefit from having one, it just means you get more traction and less scrubby understeer. The only reason a...
Yeh, I think Clarkson writes one column for the mag!
Apparently Honda didn't import the DC5 to the UK for the sole reason that it was too similar to your car (EP3). Er...OK, why make it then? Very strange indeed, now that they've seen just how many private imports there are (more DC-5's in...
There are lots of cars out there faster than a Trophy, it doesn't mean they're better. The new Cooper S is quicker on track than any Renaultsport except maybe an R26 but that would be close. Things move on, as they should.
The fact remains that no-one has made a hot hatch yet that's a better...
Thought this was all very strange, I know what EVO think of the FN2 CTR but wasn't expecting Top Gear to slate it so badly after their own magazine rated it Hot Hatch of the Year! WTF is that about? The magazine and program obviously don't have anything to do with each other.
Not ALL UK Type...
£33K in Japan for a 997 911 GT2 'Ring time. Ridiculous performance bargain, nothing else will come close for twice the money.
Shame it looks more like the V35 Skyline than the GT-R Proto.
^Deffo. No way the temp gauge will be OK then show min temp unless the sensor is faulty. It may be telling the ECU that the engine is critically overheating and cutting out to protect engine. Did the STOP light come on when this happened? Might be moisture ingress too so a new sensor not necessary.
£20,500 is an astonishing price for this car, new, taxed and imported, I don't think there's a better performance bargain out there.
Apparently it's nearly as good as a DC2!
Due to their current fairwell sale and a members discount code you can now get 4 x 5 litres of the best oil available for your car for £127.99.
I've just done a change and paid £40 for 5 litres but I wouldn't mind stocking up so put your names here and we'll get it at a bargain price...

Rubbish. I hate personalised plates that have to be completely fucked around with to actually spell anything, might as well just have a plate made up with whatever you want on it.

I'm so jealous I've just been sick on my keyboard. More than owning one (I probably wouldn't fit anyway - I could hardly get in Olly's Chimaera the other day) I would just love to build the thing. You've got many days of enjoyment ahead of you, just think how good it''ll feel when the engine is...

2,000 miles on the clock,
1 owner from new,
NEVER SEEN THE RAIN (He trailored it to the garage to get service done as it was raining)
Four coats of Zymol Royale Estate Glaze at £7K a pot.
This is a steal. :D
Volvo T5 is the biggest waste of 300 horsepower this side of a chipped Saab. The Swedes lost the plot in the nineties, Subaru might be able to save Saab but who's going to save them? Evo X vs. WRX STi next year will be a joke.
The Zed is a great 'step-up' from the Trophy. Well Done Olly, I too never believed the Japs could do 'soul'. But owning an MX-5 and DC2 now I don't think I could bother with non Jap now to be honest.
I keep thinking about an S2000 as I think it would be perfect but if you read any review of...
Oh dear, you like your Saabs and you're looking for a Trophy? Aren't Saabs punishment for consumers who don't do their research?
I can tell you unequivocally that there aren't any Saabs that will keep up with a 182 on a b-road, it might feel fast but it's forced induction and torque steer...
Olly, you're a crazy man, I thought you sold the Trophy because it didn't portray an image of professionalism to your clients?
The big question from me is;
When is my test drive? : )
Want V8, need V8, will have V8...
E30 for me, M3 wise. What an engine.
My overall favourite, as in the one I would sell my Teg for tomorrow is the E39 M5. Easily tune that engine to more than the new M3's 414bhp with loads more torque and despite the lack of carbon fibre roof and more space the car's not much heavier...
It's soooooo nice, a lot of people believe it remains as the greatest driver's car ever made, developed by Ayrton himself. Have you seen the youtube videos of the standard NSX-R chewing up an RS4 and M6 on the drag strip? That is funny. 280bhp my arse.
I dunno, they'll prob still be pretty pricey, u know what k-tec are like  . Give it a go tho, u never know they might surprise us :P
Dave Kirk is a great bloke, he will deffo give you a discount for ordering six, the good thing about getting them through K-Tec is they know how to fit...
This is what I always tell myself, even though I know I'll probably never own a Renault again. Have been driving around in the other half's MX-5 while my clutch was being replaced and I'm smitten, so much fun and the uncorrupted steering feel is great, makes RWD worthwhile on it's own, let alone...
