Would it be an idea to flag up any Trophys spotted / for sale without Sachs Dampers? I've heard some cavalier views about the dampers and fitting coilovers instead. Maybe a register of Trophy horrors.

I thought it was a predicatbly emotional ending, given my mum used to have him on R2 about 1970! (we had a VHF / UHF television... ) Then he mentioned being back on the radio in February - and I wasn't quite as overwhelmed! Not quite The End as such.

Once cars get over 100000m seems to make little difference the extra 75000! I was £25 short of buying a 450000 911 CS Clubsport a few months back.

I just had the std Halogens fitted back in #146. While at the garage I checked the VOSA MOT definitions (section 1.2 or something like that) for headlamps and MOT. There is no reference to Xenons and no reference to headlamp wash or self levelling. The tester was adamant he would pass a Clio...

Always seems strange to buy a Trophy or even a Williams and then strip it out, when there are loads of 172 Cups to do that to for half the price. Each to their own. I suppose the spare parts value might bring them back to the base car price.

If from front strut tops may need the elongated strut top aperture mod. I drove one back from Birmingham once and thought the suspension was going to fall off it was so bad. There's probably a thread on this here, or even check the car # and may be mentioned.
