Had one brand new as a company car in black. A nostalgia buy for the blue oval fan. As above Ford lives in a pricing world of its own .... I had a MK2 Focus RS and those prices were unreal as well.
Renault Sport Specialist Parts have the car now and are advertising all the parts. I would have bought but too late to the auction. Breaking not restoring. Not sure on number though.
Resurrecting this as I'd like to get the correct pair for #31. Autodoc has at £130 but they say cheaper in their App. These are correct for the Trophy ?
Sean Edwards is doing the work for me through my insurance who have the photos of the pipes being cut. I'll see what they approve but at the moment I need a new manifold unless I can find a good used one.
As per the thread title, and if you have followed my other thread (Cat got stolen and the manifold was sawn through), I'm looking for a good manifold.
I know they rot away, but as a long shot does anyone have one that is not rusty. If I fit an new ktec manifold then I know it will be louder...

Thanks for the feedback to date. When removing the Cat they cut the flange of the manifold and damaged the rear silencer pipework so I will effectively need manifold to backbox replacing. I've priced up a complete Ktec system but there is a 14 day backlog so will get a courtesy car.
Yes it is a...
I think I may need a manifold as well depending on where it was cut. Car off to Sean Edwards who is always super helpful and will fully assess what is needed; he's already contacted Ktec for availability and I'll get him to contact PMS also.
Thank you. I'll see what the insurance say and also see when I can arrange fitment .... might need the Cat back as well. I'm unsure on delivery times from the likes of k-tec.
So last night, the car alarm goes off and on going out to the front of the house I'm 'confronted' by three 'young men' dressed in black with face coverings.
The Trophy is jacked up and the Cat is being sawn off ... bloody cheek.
So, I've reported the theft to the Police (who came round very...
Apology I'd neglected this great thread and never got back to you. I'll need to get the wheel off or poke the camera round there, so can you let me know where to send the details to along with the payment. I assume they are self-adhesive ?
Not what you were really asking, but I'd refresh the Trophy to 'standard', and rather than put money in to changing it, buy a 'cheap' 172/182 that has had all the tuning work done as a separate car :-) just my personal 2c.
Just looking at this old thread as I want to tidy up my engine bay. I've bought a spare inlet manifold to get it vapour blasted, along with a battery cover and ECU mount repair part (from CFAB). Can I ask how you painted the top of the engine as I assume it requires lots of masking etc. ...
On #31 I had an MOT advisory last June relating to corrosion on the rear spring (offside).
I suspect with so little mileage the same will appear this year.
However, are the original rear springs still available, to buy ?
If not, then do I look at Cooksport items or can I simply blast and...
We sold our 200 Full Fat Cup recently and kept the 182 Trophy. Definitely the right decision, as the Trophy seems to make even a garden centre trip that bit special. The Cup suspension was way too firm for us, and the Trophy is a smaller, lighter, more nimble package to drive. Given it a 12...
I'd go for a set and will look at the numbers on mine the next time I can; out of interest, is it just a part number so the same for all cars, as I assume not by the query on the number ... exactly what number am I looking for .... dumb question I know :-)
As the title, I'm after a pair of front wheels that I'm happy to have refurbished. Current wheels have minor scuffs and I'd like a spare set to refurbish so the car isn't off the road. Please let me know what you have, and I'm in Stratford-upon-Avon. Thanks
Out of interest can you get an update the software, or is it effectively the latest you need for a Trophy diagnosis ? I may be interested for simple home diagnosis use.
My car is with Sean Edwards post the ABS Sensor MOT failure, and I've asked him to bring forward (from August) the five year belt change.
Sean will do this for £720 all in that includes water pump / belts as a standard offering he does. I'm fine with that.
I will ask Sean, but what else...
Big thanks Gareth - I wont post a photo as they look like the others pictured above :-) Put me down for powerflex if those are the yellow / purple items I see on photos of engine bay and exhaust hangers ?
