its just my opinion from experience. if i wanted to buy a car like a trophy in a few years time then i would go for the one thats standard and not f*cked about with in any way. i would assume that with all the enige dressing then the owner would likely have given it death all the time.
To me...
IMHO a rare car like the trophy should be kept standard - any mods will affect the resale value. its a great car as it is so why change it. Okay can see the point on a 172 or 182 because they are so plentifull, but the trophy will be best left alone, you will stand out enough as it is.
Plus...
I have had 5 cossie's - 1 three door, 3 saphire and an escort. The 3 door was my fathers from new and it had 16k on when i got it and the escort was new. the 3 saphires were indeed thrashed and modded to death, one to the tune of 420bhp, hybrid turbo, 3 bar map sensor, fith injector etc etc...
Mr 'king!' stromba....you need to drive a trophy to beleive the hype - i have had over 40 cars in my 15 years of drivin, 3 door and saphire cossies, gte 16v's, mr2 many golfs etc etc and beleive me I can talk from experience.
When i read the guff that you spit out it just sounds like sour...

pearl and metallic effectivley are the same - different particle sizes and more contributing colours that give a different hue in certain light
metallic has larger 'flakes' of metal pigment and are more obvious to the naked eye.

never had the rough thing on any of my 3 172's or my trophy. that said the trophy is a little jerky when cold but never hesitates or slow to accelerate - its the opposite tbh, very very throttle sensitive
touch up with rover ' stone grey' paint its a perfect match. I bought some just in case. I beleive other 182 owners with anthracite wheels have used this.
btw got it in a spray from halfords. Just spray into the cap and use a brush to touch it in.
wheel nuts that is.
Just fitted some McGards and was surprised how easy they undid. checked em all....the same
Its common knowledge you should re-tighten after a while but i was surprised. get checking guys n gals
iwas told about 2 weeks ago taht all trophys were gone - the guys checked his screen etc etc. The renaultsport site was always a bit slow with the numbers.
Ive not got any yet, however when i got the car i bought some capsicum red touch up from renault. As the brush is sh*t try this for a really neat application- buy some wooden kebab skewers with sharp pointy ends. then when you wanna touch up, bolb a small amount of paint onto a plastic surface...
he's probably thinking of three suspension settings for the 182 - ie standard, cup and trophy. you know what these renault turds are like! - thick as a whale sandwich
