already taken it to dealers and they are gonna replace the centre section. thing is, if its a characteristic of the engine where resonance occurs at that given rpm then how long is the new one gonna last?!
thing is i like my cars looking standard and didnt really wanna have to put an...
Thanks brazo!
Reading youre post properly i understand what you are saying. Apologies for the mis-interpetation.
Waxed it again today and it looks lovely.
Yeah its 20 quid delivered. Ive got it and used it and its fantastic. Its a wax so its no a liquid, that said it goes on really easy. No need for solvents at all. Maybee you had a poor batch because this stuff is amazing, and beleive me ive tried the best of the rest.
mine too. its weird really, can be doing dead on 4k and really quiet (well, for a clio) then about 4100 it changes key and becomes boomy! is that normal?
no worries
Its good to know that its a common thing like you say - cant imagine the exhausts lasting long on the people who do short journeys though! and theres 2 of them to replace (swear)
I too have been driving performance cars for years. Dont get me wrong, I am not trying to dismiss the issue. Like i said its normal.
If it was something other than moisture then you would see losses as i mentioned, oil or water. If this is not the case then what else could it be?
The 182's...
yeah really low miles.
thing is though although it was low all the rubbers, hoses etc still deteriorate and cant really afford any big bills at the moment.
clio is the one for me at the moment
was looking on autotrader and came across a dealer who was selling a 1994 m reg BMW M3 convertible. Avis blue. silver leather and blue canvass hood. 1 owner FBMWSH and just 12500 miles!!
Anyway, went to have a look - was up for 12995 and he offered me a straight swap. Was really really...
I think this is being blown up out of proportion!
All you are experiencing is moisture - a natural and essential byproduct of the combustion process. Its just a sign of an efficient engine. The cold weather just shows this up more as the hot gas cools quickly and presents itself as a visible...
hi frenchboy, welcome to our forum.
When i got my trophy, the steering wheel was slightly off centre when in a straight line even though the tracking was fine. Anyway i took mine to an alignment specialist that had the 'hunter' laser wheel alignment that checks every aspect of the geometry...
stromba - I can can see the basis of you're argument however i fail to see its point. You state about the core ingredients being the same in the products accross the spectrum of car care products. Unfortunatley the wealth of information you have and the lack of proof that autoglym have provided...
do you really believe what you have posted or are you just taking an opposing view to everyone else like you regularly seem to do?
There is so much difference in waxes and polishes. granted they all have the same objective - to polish and protect, but some are better than others.
As you...
yeah thats pretty good. especially this time of year!
shame that you couldn't of kept it but i understand how priorities go.
like you said, when you are sorted then you can get another or something else
hope the house thing goes ok.
i tend to drive quite gently with the occasional blast and get around 34 through town.
best i've had on motorway doing 65 ish is around 44mpg so probably not too far out. MPG will improve as the miles increase.
EVO ran a similar experiment with very similar results.
So effectivley the general rule is that if the engine was designed around a higher octane rating then this is to be used to attain the true power potential. However the car will adapt to the lower rating and run perfectly well, however...
When we go to Scotland on a driving holiday or a blast on the Evo triangle, we take the Williams. What does that tell you? Think about it.
^^^^^^^^^^^^that you like showing off in your car? heh heh
The trophy that is.
I feel a bit sad but wash mine twice a week - wed and sundays
Wed is just a wash, sunday is the full hit - wash dry, wax or quick detail, vac and plastics wipe over with wet cloth
Am I a real saddo or are there others on here like me - just cant stand it looking...
Well, Ive had chance for a proper go with the new filter in tonight and it does make a difference - on the motoryway i noticed that from 60 in the slow lane in 5th i put my foot down to overtake and it picked up a lot smoother - so that was that, getting on the a580 i decided to give it a bit of...
