126,000 miles,
Original car in good condition with Trophy Wheels, front seats and suspension. The only changes that I can see being a sports rear exhaust and RS rear seats.
Requires MOT:
Have new...
Thanks for the info.
Mine has been off the road for months.
I have exactly the same problem and need to replace offside rear abs sensor after taking to renault diagnostic, along with coil springs all round and rear discs.
Sounds like no one place has all the parts?
I got the car to Melton Mowbray for a check over and they found the rear offside ABS sensor had failed, also a front nearside coil spring cracked.
I plan to replace all coil springs and rear discs over winter. Can you point me in the right direction for the coil springs?
Thanks Marc
Not sure what the diagnostic equipment was but it says OBD diagnosis system identification:
Anti-lock braking system -diagnose fault memory. 5020. Unknown. faults are present.
My ABS Stability/traction and SERV lights are on which looks to be a common problem and a minefield to fix.
My village garage gave me the code but it didn't pinpoint the problem.
I did take a front wheel off a few weeks before it started and the abs is not working.
Any thought on the fault...
I got mine for £4k 126k miles 3 months ago. Probably worth £3.5k really.
I didnt want an older modern classic as they tend to rust. I didnt want to get a low mileage car as I wouldnt want to put miles on it.
The car is better than I thought it would be and reminds me of a Golf GTI campaign that...
to get the colour back on the bonnet I have used some red wax, it has worked to some extent but I ended up doing the whole car including one of the Trophy decals so its got red bits on it now. :(
The decal is very absorbent, I think I will try clear wax next but has anyone done the same thing...
I have a deadline and will go for a 182 Cup or a 197 F1/Cup if nothing turns up.
But I am 6'4" and hope the Trophy is a better driving position than a standard 182 Cup?
182 Trophy wanted before 14 March
Budget £7500
Will look at track cars through to good condition.
I intend to do sprints and grass auto tests but also car shows.
I am based near Peterborough.
Thanks
Marc
Hopefully the OP has puchased the car in Nottingham otherwise sorry to hijack.
I am also looking at the same price level, something that needs a little work and I can take to the track. I don't like polishing cars too much.
Marc
Slightly gutted that I just missed this mainly due to seeing it on Cazana and after emailing got no further but didn't see it on Pistonheads.
I am in the market for a Trophy ( up to £7000) but do not mind one that is a little rough as I will initially use it for tame track days and grass...
