The front springs will be landing in the unit next week.
Once arrived...I’ll get pics and payment details up....
Thanks to all involved.
Keep your fingers crossed re the rear springs.
The front springs are no issue at all. They are ordered and hopefully arriving any day....
I think you have misread the post.
The front spring is no issue at all, as they have been previously produced by Eibach so in a very simple terms....re order material and copy original spec which has...
The rear springs may not be achievable as they are proving difficult to re-design. I’ll provide more technical talk at a later date once I have been provided with full details. In short to replicate the Renault spring it’s two different diameter of spring so would need an investment of buying...
To provide an update;
I am expecting the front springs to be delivered start of June. We were initially informed Mid May but as we are already past that point I would suggest June is more appropriate.
I will list payment details etc etc when I have a confirmed shipment date for you.
The...
Totally agree.....I will follow suit as per the fronts with some form of link in the part number.
It will be something along the lines of TrophyCup.........then a part number.
I think a black spring with red writing.
I’ll keep you updated but realistically the project will be aiming for a...
Only 7 off a massive discount of £10.00!! Lol.
Every little helps ....I’ll ask for an update re more accurate timings this week re the front.
Currently the rears are with Eibach realistically id say end of July before we have a rear spring in our hand.
As per the above threads....they will be black.
They will come with some form of part number to ref the trophy/cup I’d suggest in either silver or red.
Re logo’s...I think that will be a step to far.
If you have been following the initial thread re the front springs then you will know that Eibach have agreeded to remake the original Renault Trophy, Cup Spec spring for us.
A kind member has lent me a pair to send to Eibach to measure, test etc etc..so project 2 is underway.
They have asked...
If we could keep this to the fronts it would be appreciated.
As the rears. have not even been designed, developed, costed, time frame. I’m hoping it will be ASAP but I doubt it will be at the same time as the fronts.
I’ll set up a similar post for rears once confirmed by Eibach.
In regards to the rears....luckily a member has come to the aid and allowed me to borrow a new set of rears...so I’ll be expiditing that as quickly as possible with Eibach as it will be nice to offer a full new package at around the same time....
I have had a few messages re missing the group buy....
This has not ended so if you would like a set then please feel free to place your name on the list.
We are in that period of lull whilst the springs are being made. Be given a lead time of 10 weeks and the order was placed last week. So...
The order has been placed guys....so a ten week lead time I have been given from Eibach.
Final prices;
£150 delivered within Mainland UK for 30 units.
£140 delivered within Mainland Uk for 40 units.
£130 delivered within Mainland UK for 50 units.
Nearer the date I will set up a PayPal but...
No I’ve explored the rears with Eibach and they can’t find no record of the rear springs hence the requirement to find a rear spring to measure, rate etc etc to effectively copy.
Hopefully I can get this off the ground as the rear spring opens the market for the standard 182 which will...
I am looking at getting the standard rear cup spring (red/white) re-manufactured.
I am in the process of confirming with Eibach who will be making them however I need a test spring to send to them so they can effectively test and copy.
Does anyone have any new ones stored away. Will only need...
Just so people are fully aware and wondering how one person has just contacted Eibach and got the springs made which probably seems a little strange to most.....,this has been done my brothers company YBracing.com same company that designed the RS192 exhaust.
Hence they have the buying power to...
If someone has a set of new rear cup springs...that I can loan (don’t mind leaving a deposit) for a period of time. Eibach will make the rears for us as per original spec.
That’s my next project once I have sorted the fronts out.
The springs will come with confirmation from Eibach re original trophy specs.
I’m away in Scotland climbing for a few days...but I’ll get a proper list sorted when I return on Friday.
Yes all the above will be correct.
Re the plastic tubing im not 100 per cent but it’s an easy DIY solution if not. I’ll check details.
Identical spec only diff will be part number.
No payment required till I have taken possession of said springs. I may ask for a small deposit just to weed out the messers....that can offer occur on big group buys.... there is a 10wk lead time. So no major rush.
It’s definitely happening so I’ll do a proper group buy once all the finer details are confirmed.
They will be carrying the part number TROP514730 from Eibach as the original Renault part number can not be used due to licences/legal issues. However again to be confirmed.
The springs will...
I’ve not worked out the exact finer details this will follow in the next few days:....but the larger the purchase it may be of more benefit to members re pricing of items....but I take your point on board. Once I know more details then I will update accordingly
I will update you in due time......but can assure you they will be identical to the originals.
They will not carry the official Renault part number as simply they can’t due to legal reasons. They will carry a brand new part number from Eibach which will be supplied in due time as it is still...
I think we can all agree how extortionate dealer prices are...as they need to cover all manner of costs not just the part manufactured...hence their prices.
I can increase the cost....if required?! lol
I set out trying to find an original replacement for my own trophy and ended up here...
I am still waiting on official pricing but will be between 130-150. I think they have to priced relatively to the Proline Kit I’m not sure the cost of cook springs or mark fish....
It just whether there will be enough demand as I’ll have to use my own money to source the sets...it’s just...
