It was mentioned a few weeks back that the 195 conti tyres as fitted to the 172 have a square footprint and is almost identical in actual width to a 205 profile.

If a head-to-head test was conducted to assess Cup, Sachs and say H&R Coilover dampers, I wonder if we are able to say what the results would be on the road and track?
I like the idea of the Cup dampers because they are so cheap (circa £100/pair) and must be pretty good.

It's incredible to think that the 182 Cup dampers (weighing in at ~£100/pair) are about x10 times the price of Sach dampers. I mean, they are not x10 better. The Cup dampers do seem exceptionally good value.
