Seems to me like there are three price brackets:
Upper: £14k+, Low miles, low owners, great history and condition. Destined for collectors/speculators which is kind of a shame since they are unlikely to be used properly, probably stored and polished until bored to death.
Mid: £4-8k...
Love it.
Best mate had a white phase 2 21 Turbo was the first properly fast (back in the early 90's) car I experienced. Loved it (it was our wedding car).
Father in law has an early V6, it looks great, sounds good and is an event to drive. But honestly it's not a particularly nice drive and I certainly wouldn't swap it for the Trophy (ignoring the relative £ values).
V6 is immensely cool though.
Bollocks!
Spoke too soon, MIL back on, code reader now saying misfire on cylinder 4 (new injector). Fcuk knows what's going on?...
More injector swappage to follow.
Update on mine.
Changed plugs, coilpack and leads - error code problem not solved but the leads & coilpack needing changing anyway 'cos a mouse had had a chew on them.
Measured injector resistances - Cylinders 1, 2 and 3 were +/- 15 ohms. Cylinder 4 was 12.1 ohms so just changed that injector...
Piece of piss to change, I only did mine because I got the new ones so cheap. Just tested the old ones and they are very firm with a good 'return', definately didn't need doing.
My originals didn't need replacing but a found a great deal on a brand new pair of OEM rears so I bought and fitted them at 70k miles. Didn't notice any difference so I've kept the originals 'just in case'.
As mentioned earlier, I'm slowly working my way through the same symptoms and fault code.
Changed the coil pack, HT leads and plugs last weekend.
Still a little lumpy at idle, no flashing MIL since clearing fault code, but need a few more miles to be sure.
Will report back soon ........

Love spannering on the Clio and my Lotus, half the fun for me is tinkering with &...
I occassionally have the same symptoms and the same error code. I've read a lot about it on here and cliosport.net and there seems to be no one definate solution. Could be injector(s), coil pack, HT lead(s) or spark plug(s). Plan to measure resistance of injectors this weekend to see if there's...
I see my Trophy as a bit of 'free' fun, I bought at the right time and had a gut feeling they might just be about to appreciate. It'll never be worth a fortune but I'm certain that all upkeep, repairs and running costs will be covered when I eventually sell it.
Honestly, having the Trophy and driving them back to back it would for me despite coveting the Williams for many years (had a Clio 16v in the mid 90's). I still want one but not instead of a T.
Father in law bought one last year, he knows his stuff but it still required a fair bit bodywork repair/paint, the sills were particularly bad. It's cool as fuck but really isn't a patch on a Trophy for driver enjoyment. Certainly wouldn't swap mine for his.
Had well sorted Griff and Chim 500's and a T350c in the past - Trophy is significantly quicker on twisty/challenging roads in my hands. Had it out for a proper run last week for the first time in ages, it's still shockingly good fun to drive.
Sounds like bullshit to me. If an owner wants a guaranteed value which is higher than 'normal' then surely they just up that particular premium.
That's how it worked with my last TVR/insurer when values were on the up and I was 'adding more value' with engine rebuilds, wheels, interior re-trims...
It's like Facebook for cars - bloody awful to read, just random scattered thoughts and comments.
Under 30's might enjoy Drivetribe but it my head and eyes ache.
