Hi Rich,
If you think the MOT garage is trying to rip you off then you should ask to see the parts they replaced or if they haven't yet replaced them to get a second opinion. I chatted to Mark fish about the ball joints when I had him check mine and he said they tend to just go, which makes...
Seems like you can do some pretty good deals. Not sure if I can afford it but what price can you do on Turrinis? Thinking this may be viable rather than re furbs. Plus do they come with speed line stickers on
LALALALA not listening (fingers in ears)
Im a memeber on cliosport and agree it has some really useful info on it. But I still believe people are doing the right thing asking for advice here as generally the advice is more helpful with less stupid comments. The guide section is very handy if...
Have been watching this post with interest as I think my exhaust is starting to blow.
Having been in some cars with the orb, I know I want something quieter. Thought someone did a table on here with db ratings of each exhaust but cant find it. Anyone done this before I search all the websites...
Yeah thanks Matt, it does. Im happy with standard at the moment but might consider it in the future but i think this needs clearing up a bit. As Mark fish has clearly over charged if they are the same springs
hmm interesting you say Mark fish set-up is the sport lines. On the k-tec website it says the sport line kit lowers the car by 30mm all round. But mark fish quotes 15 mm at the front and 20mm at the back, well this could be the difference in the dampers I guess. By what amount do you say they...
I had mine changed at around 36K I think but that was as my gearbox was on the way out and got it done under warranty. Came down to Renault agreed the gearbox should be replaced and If I wanted the clutch done it was just the price of the clutch. So I got it done.
Not much help to you really...
Just fitted my Richbrook to my Tophy with the help of James and a rubber belt tool type thing. Was on there pretty tight and took a little force but came off eventually. See what people meant about the amount of glue, boy there was a lot. Think an oil filter removal tool is pretty similar and...
Been in one with the Titanium exhaust... Sounded like there was a bear trying to get through the floor of the car. Do these just sound like a standard r26 but slightly louder without the soundproofing?
Not me but I did see you on Huntingdon road last night on my way home from work. Only noticed it was you when you had passed. Car looks great by the way =D>
I think it was a 22 or 21mm and you need a ring spanner so you can get the allen key in. I had huge problems with this and ended up using an electric jack hammer, which is like an air gun. As the nuts where so tight.
See this thread for details...
The JMS setup, certainly looks cool and from the videos makes the car sound great. Still think this is an awful lot of money to spend on any car though. Would love to try it though
I covered mine in bubble wrap and made a ball of tape and wrap over the ends of the main shaft. Then placed them in a box and filled it with newspaper. When they came back from BG they were surrounded by shredded paper in the same box I sent them in.
cost was about £15.
hmm, I have been toying with doing this for a while as my gear knob looks horrible. My concern was the metal gear knob would be too cold in winter. Anyone got experience of this? Well, I know how stupid this sounds.
Did you guys go for the 5 speed slanted, richbrook?
Jimbo, if its not too late just go to Cambridge performance tyres. They will match the price including fitting from past experience. I payed £205 fitted there before
