if you message Nik, it may be something that could be tied to this database via an excel spreadsheet. not sure since we moved platforms on how this could be embedded though.... Nik could know though??
if it's sorn, then it's legal status is the same as if it's MOT'd, the DVLA just has to have t listed on the database as either SORN or MOT'd.
Seems very strange, have you asked why?
Read the original Evo review of the Trophy - when it was pitted against an M6. The M6 couldn't keep with it on the twisties... Not much can this side of an an exige or caterham in the right hands.
The media for the most part have peddled this bollox that BHP is everything, it's torque and grip...
Being a very limited run car model, I think this would work wonders - especially if criminal elements knew that each car was traceable.
It's not like it could be cloned to another car with ease as most people with Trophys can spot one a mile off.
I'd be happy to share, how would this be open...
I do notice this also, but i do park on a hill - when the drivers side is higher than the passengers side, it'll read lower than it should. The other way around and it reads normal, or slightly higher, so I took it as just a gravity and fuel system being drained when parked.
A few owners including me have run more powerful cars along side the Trophy - Porsche's, M3's. M5's.. To be fair my e38 M3 was hoot, but I always craved the weekend jaunt in the Trophy when I had the M5.
It's not the acceleration that brings a smile to face, it's the feeling of every corner...
They've listed it in the description as "Renault Clio 182 Speedline Trophy Turini Alloy Wheel. Condition is Used.
Single wheel et43
Tyre has about 5mm"
My apologies - not sure why've they've put et43 if it's et45....
No re the seat frames.
It's probably an easy fix to be fair - not sure without pics but the seat tilt and fix uses a pulley system, which can easily be unhooked if someones foot knocks it (when sitting in the rear).
Grab a torch and get down under the seat to see if you can see a loose wire...
Just a thought, but as these are wear and tear items which will require to be replaced in future - maybe leave this open until a certain number of slots have been filled, then reopen until the next quantity has been filled?
I've not yet fitted the ones from the last buy but when they are...
You don't have to notify your by law and I'd tread carefully if you do as they will put it against your driving record (even if they say they won't - it'll be listed there for record purposes and could affect future premiums).
Also, take ownership of the process of repair - I'd select your own...
Surprised a Trophy owner would replace just one shock. OEM are Koni, but the OEM's aren't available anymore - the Koni's are the closest aftermarket shock and a nice upgrade.
Mark Fish Motorsport sell them, but i'd be replacing both. You shouldn't ever replace just one shock.
Sound like it's going to be almost box fresh so should command a strong price - prices have steadily risen over the last few years and with sub 50k on the clock and without seeing it in the flesh, the bills etc in total i'd be estimating anywhere between £8.5k to £10k....
closest place to my knowledge would be cornering force in north Yorkshire - just outside of Harrogate, Be careful of who you use if it's not them, Rik Parry or BG Motorsport (official UK Sachs Service centre). All parts for Sachs will come through BG, but they're not the cheapest.
A word of caution - having fitted powerflex bushes... they're not for faint hearts and they act like a chain, i.e. unless you change them all, the weaker bushes will take a pounding due to increased strength and lowerflex of the new ones....
Usually will be the speed sensor on one of the wheels - about £40 for a replacement. Mine have started to go in the last 6 months, so I guess they've lasted well.
