mate some bugger did both of mine within 48hrs of getting it back from the paintshop after having new ones done... i'd kill 'em if I knew who did it!!!!
Mine - minus the front splitter which is in the garage... also the windscreen seals which came off on the autobahn (also in the garage) What were you in?
any performance gains (5bhp max?) would surely be offset against the gained weight that dual back box designs add over a single back box design, so it's horses for coarses.....
its not the quickest car in the world, it's not the highest quality one either nor the most frugal or prestigious but it brings a smile to my face like no other. Caterhams, Nobels etc may do the same thing in so many ways better but none has the all round usability of the T.
It's like a Rocky...
aaron, i did the same - still have the young sport in black with red trim, looks like it's hand crafted for the T :)
Also, they not actually made by Recaro - they're just branded that as the german car seat maker (can't remember the name now) who mfts them uses their distribution channels...
Me too, a guy running at me with a bottle, full beams on, rev the engine and if he still keep running towards me, then "lets dual and see who wins"
I've never noticed 1.
Re the radio, I think it's more down to the rattling stops until you hit 110mph. Like with concorde, these french technicians build in panels gaps to allow for metal expansion i think haha
competition throttle body, maxogen, removed the acoustic valve, new grp n chip, remapped for optimal performance on the decat, inlet manifold enlargement, decat.. can't remember everything off the top of my head but the list goes on.
to the autobahn we go :)
I've had it on the rr befor, made around 165bhp at the wheels. that was 20k ago and pre remap, new chipset, plus it's just had new poly mounts all round so I think the loss through the drive train will be reduced slightly. may need to get it serviced again and re RR'd...
to be fair my trophy is anything but standard - i've spent over £5k on engine, suspension and mechanical modifications since I bought it. Combined with being serviced every 6 months since new and with slight weight reduction I'd have thought it's power to weight ratio to be better than the...
seriously, upto this time last week i'd have agreed but i'm astounded that in reality it didn't happen. hence my post - i've owned both the E36 and E43 M3 varieties and they both felt quicker, so does my 540 ci but now i have to rethink which is the quicker car because we went toe to toe with so...
Didn't do the nurbergring as i was en route to Mayrhoffen for a boarding week and didn't have the time to spare but i'm going back to scratch that itch.
Having now gone toe to toe with a fair amount of porkies (there was 8 911's, about 3 or 4 boxsters and a similar number of cayennes that...
Well even after nearly 6 years of ownership this little pocket rocket still surprises me.
I know how quick it is on a B road, but in a straight line i always thought it slightly underpowered to take on the great and good of Germany's finest but boy was I wrong.
100 octane racing fuel on board...
There's a sensor issue - get it into a reno specialist not a dealer and they should be able to diagnose which one, I doubt it's an actual fuel pump issue but could be.
