The mods are doing what they can - unfortunately no matter how many mods there are it will always be a reactionary role not proactive. Banning by IP seems to not even be effective any more as they keep re registering from new IP addresses....
I would welcome one or two new mods though as it...
i always like the newer tyres on the front as it's a fwd car - especially as we're heading into bad weather. Having said that having different diameter of tyres on the car (one corner new, the other worn) will not just effect performance but also unevenly wear your ball joints. So if the ears...
most likely the battery - I think mine's on it's way out also... needs a coffee in the morning and a hug before it'll turn over. I should drive it more
When I say it's heavier we're not talking kilos, I doubt you'd actually notice the difference to be honest but then again Michelin have gone to the great expense and time of creating a W and a V for a reason.
I had a conversation with a tyre engineer of michelins a few years ago when trying to...
I know a few with the above cars, the mini struggles to get over 30 mpg and is now where near as much fun on the twisties - although it's still better than 99% of the machinery out there. Take your point about the other renosports, although i suppose that's why for even the french, they're...
I bought mine brand new - and still can't think of any other car sub £60k that does what the trophy does. 35+mpg, can fit bikes in the back, Elise/exige quick on a b-road... Any one else come up with anything else.
Caterhams don't have the everyday usability, porsche's don't have the same boot...
Asim, I am genuinely sorry to see this episode has you selling. I always viewed your trophy as being the best going. All mods were top of the range, this would be an absolute bargain for someone - Keep the car and get your money back from JMS.
Can't show you a picture but if look at the front of the car - it's about where the passenger fog light is. For access it's easiest to get to by removing the passenger front wheel then the wheel arch trim. You see it bolted to a bracket just above the splitter area below the engine.
just two things to bare in mind about the sportlines - there springs rates are different to the eibachs on the trophy as (second point) the springs were made specifically for the dampers on the front.
Having driven for a week or so on my track wheels (r888 shod) I can definitely say the tyre noise is better with the ps3's, the wet grip is better, ride comfort is better and they don't tram line as much also
it's the anti swear filter haha, not your phone - don't worry. Before getting to the end of your post i was thinking "i bet his pressures are out and being new rubber need a few miles to bed the rubber in haha.
Only time I stiffen mine up is on track. For roads use the fronts and rears are just set as Renault and MF suggested. Since i took the STM's off i've not had any issues.
Standard, yes. Well, certainly the 182 cup is. Although I wouldn't recommend the swiss cheese lead weight standard one. Aftermarket exhausts are lighter and are better made and therefore last longer. Just don't go all max power - get a nice tasteful one.
? are you crazy?
The rear dampers are better than standard items - but are not adjustable. The front's are fully adjustable motorsport dampers as run by BTCC teams like Seat etc and brand new are £1400+ EACH. Why not just get them refurb'd?
Also you won't be able to put standard 182 dampers...
Mossy - I'll create a thread in the next hour or so with a list of detailers as I'm on detailing world and just had a good response to a shout out for local (ish) specialists.
