Just changed the battery in mine after having a similar issue and it's resolved no problem. If the red light in the middle goes out, then the immobiliser is disengaged.
Did think to look at the TDC sensor but mine wouldn't even get the dash lights to switch on.
I'd guess most are still on...
Rear koni's are available from Mark Fish. Re sportlines, are people aware that the trophy springs are upgraded versions of the sportlines specifically engineered to work with the unique dampers??
Unless you know what your doing re spring rates and their pairing with damper rates i'd leave the...

What do you mean by palmer sport ones?? the 2020's??
To my knowledge all 2118's were the same. The 2020's were magnesium and used in the motorsport world but look identical to 2118's.
Most get them them confused and as the design is identical it's difficult to tell them apart. until you pick...
As ben states, it's common while the engine is cold. Check how clean the air intak valve is if it's doing it when warm. These get clogged up with oil and crud...
where do i start lol..
syncro's are all but worn and I think my laziness to get them done is doing some damage..
When under hard accel, getting it into 2nd and 3rd is neigh on impossible. It'll clunk going into 3rd, even under 3k revs. It jumps out of 4th of its own vollition and going down...
iirc the sachs units are absolute ball aches to get the right parts for as sachs don't supply them readily. there was only one licensed servicer in the UK, this seems to have changed recently...
ian, if you need any help with this, let me know - i'm halifax based also, so can help with the change over- it's an easy fix.
Do an ebay search for dynamique wiper stalk, they were the base model in the clio range that had the intermittent stalk fitted. shouldn't cost more than £20 or so.
definately not an oem 'zorst - can't tell the mft but a few years back i think blue flame were doing those slash cut types.
I run with tarrox disks, more expensive than most run with and definately a wise choice. Not the cheapest though.
The surrounds to 'zorst look silver... going back a...
It's about that time.... The gearbox in mine is on the way out, or at least the syncro's are... I was wondering if anyone would recommend a straight oem replacement or another one - i do the occasional track work with the car and it's my weekend toy so does get used.... Any suggestions?
i've the 2020's with R888's and they're still heavier. The R888 tyre weighs more than the wheel.
There's no negative for me - they're noisier on road (down to the tyre)
The only thing to consider is you can't fit 4 pots under 15'' wheels, so if this is a possibiliy for a future mod then...
Having just seen you clean car, i'm now in a determined mood to restore mine to former glories, having not cleaned it for 8 months I feel guilty as sin... :(
It's all subjective - if the Rolling roader was set up for ford tollerances then it's bound to be off for Clio's as the losses throught the drive train are different. Did you get the acutal output figures for the true, at the wheel, readings or just the calculated fly wheel readings?
All 182...
