Good find - just make sure the seals are good, and there's no oil leaks. If the gas has escaped they'll need new seals and gas. Only way of checking is either on a dyno or manually pushing the damper in (which shouldn't be possible with just your hands).

Not sure exactly tbf, while mine's only on 145k - a fair number of those have been hard track miles. It's on it's second engine and 4th gearbox. I'm gradually replacing everything that's wear and tear.

Just double checking re the carrier - have my oily rag person on with finding me the correct diagram so I can get the part number. Also might just get my rack reconditioned, anyone have a recommendations for people that recondition steering racks?

So, I have a little play in both the steering rack and my drivers side rear caliper carrier. Neither part is available new from Reno now and RPD are saying they can't hold of any. Any ideas?

Prices are definitely on the rise again. I'd estimate the average price has crept up £2-3k since last year.

Does it tuck away or have you blocked the hazard button off? it may fail an MOT if so...

I don't know of anything really... maybe a lacquer but I'd be worried about doing more harm than good.

Did a bit of research into this myself about 8 months ago - came up with a varta silver dynamics 54 being the best and largest I could fit in mine - I do run a maxogen though, which limits space in the battery area.

If you find an answer to this, let me know - Have spoken to capitol in the past but can't do without the seat for a week or two.

I wouldn't personally - they'll affect the hub and only really make a positive different to aesthetics, handling could be negatively affected though.

I can see them climbing from next year - min of £10k until the govt. end production of fuel burning cars - that may affect prices at that point.

I didn't bother when upgrading my HU, the speakers aren't that bad to be honest - can handle most inbuild amps that top end HU's have, if going the separate amps route, then it may be an idea to upgrade the speakers, but you won't notice a huge different in ohms output.

Find it difficult to believe they've lost something as heavy as a couple of dampers - more like stolen. Second hand market is where i'd be searching....

Emma, if yours are leaking, then the front dampers can be refurbished - try BG Motorsport, Cornering Force or Rik Perry - I think Rik has a back log until early next year though, cornering force are slightly better for the wallet than BG, but BG are the main UK Sachs partners.
