I owes me £750 without the 8 hour round trip collecting it and all the time out in so far lol.
As they don’t come up that regularly, it’s hard to know what someone’s willing to spend on one.

A good friend of mine (John) is a refrigerants engineer and he recommended I also fitted a fresh drier unit and changed the oil in the system.

Seeing as the holes are already present for the PMS style mounts, I’d fit those and their matching brace. That will not only cover the holes in the top of the turret but offer a nice improvement in steering response over oem.
So i threw some time at the Orbisoud this I afternoon. I never took and decent before photos as frankly I was quite embarrassed at the state of it.
Lots and lots of ingrained surface rust. Lovely exhaust but very unloved in its life.

For the agro of sourcing one in good nick that's already painted, you're better off buying new and having it colour matched.

It has a decat welded in at the moment but I’m thinking of having it sleeved and running my OEM cat which already had the derestriction mod done.
If I do that I may well have it sleeved so I can just chop and change come MOT time or if it takes my fancy.

Guns are great depending on the fastener but I’ll always go to a bar first. Can always try giving them a little nip tighter to crack the thread before undoing.

Personally wouldn't touch it until it becomes an issue, which it may never do.
I removed mine to clear space for brake cooling from the foglight apertures.
Don't worry, if i fit mine and decide i like my BTM more then i'll be flogging this one.
Either way its getting polished up with a full overhaul of clamps and brackets.
Look at the amount of damp and moss growing beneath it. That car has not moved for some time, and id suggest its paintwork is the least of its worries. That's a full recommissioning job.

Don’t get me wrong, the material quaility is pretty good, you can feel it, but the weldings nothing to get excited about and neither is the finish.
Hopefully it will come up well and it sounds as good as they’re supposed to.

I believe this was a silenced decat version. The mounts ive already stripped and will restore with some media blast, zinc, then top coat.
I believe ive found a V-band clamp for it too but need to ensure this fits correctly first.
Well the Orbisoud has landed.
First impressions are a bit "meh" i have to say. Its reasonably nice but the construction is far from the best I've seen, id say my BTM is probably 90% of the Orb quality, and im certainly not sure what all the hype is about at the moment.

OEMs cannot be purchased separately, they come PIA to the rear damper assembly. Powerflex do them separately. Certainly replace if they're worn.
Also a super simple job to do :)
