No. I bought a used one and have spent a good bit of time restoring it. I love the sound but not the looks and want the looks of the Cup system. I’m not prepared to cut my one up to get the look I’m after so selling to fund it.
You’re welcome to square me up in instalments dude. I don’t think it’s going to go anywhere anytime soon if I’m honest. The number of people prepared to drop this kind of money on a Clio exhaust are few and far between.
Rare as hens teeth though, almost never seen another for sale.
I don’t disbelieve it.
I’ve contacted them a number of times about various parts and I have to say it’s not the simplest of transactions. Theyre just so hard to track down to buy new and almost impossible to find second hand. I’ve always wanted to try one and glad I did. But it’s still doesn’t...
Cheers chap, it’s taken a good amount of work but looks lovely now. Sound wise, it’s perfect for what I want, but I still want a straight cut pair of outlets and I’m not prepared to start cutting it up. I’d rather sell and fund something bespoke.
Hey guys,
I’ve decided to put up my recently overhauled and fitted Orbisoud Exhaust.
Chances are, if you’re reading this, you know exactly what an Orbisoud exhaust is, and needs no introduction. Regarded by many as the pinnacle of exhausts for the Renaultsport Clio, extremely rare to find for...
If it was the crank sensor it would continue to crank but not fire. There is power to illuminate the dash but not enough to engage the starter solenoid to crank.
My money’s on the battery or broken starter wire than means the battery power isn’t reaching the starter for whatever reason. If the...
Still, they can die on a cell and just go like that. If you can remove a terminal on it and jump start it from another car will prove out the rest of the system. Quick and easy to do.
Sound I think is slightly better on the Orb, It’s got a deeper more angry tone. It’s certainly gotten better over the last few days driving.
Having said that, the Orb is a silenced decat and my BTM is a cat back.
You can feel the cars lost a little bit of torque around the 3k rpm area but the...
WZD has worn its BTM exhaust system for 8 years, and after removing it this morning, it’s practically as mint now as the day it was fitted.
The BTM has only been removed as I fancy a change and have been intrigued by the hype that’s always surrounded the Orbisoud system. I have to say I’m not a...
It’s mainly the torque ramp that does it. Turbocharging obviously compounds this whereas supercharging is far bore box friendly. I want to stay NA though I think.
Big shout out to Tony @ VintagsUK for custom making me a pair of new decals. These are absolutely spot on and the silver decal is still an anti tamper VOID when removed.
Some might say expensive for what may be considered as just stickers but well worth replacing the damaged items and getting...
Took WZD to see Andy @engine_dynamics today for nothing other than getting the car on the rolls for some baseline dyno runs.
There really is no point attempting to get more from the little F4R until we know how healthy it is at the moment.
Still the original motor on 125k miles now, and...
Many thanks, i have replica threads here and on ClioSport too. To be honest, its just nice to keep a documented history of how ive tried to care for it. I think there are quite a few, be it trophy or not that are getting on the Renaultsport Clio bandwagon as they really are IMO unbeatable for...
My take on it for what it’s worth.
Over the last 5-7 years there has been building momentum in the collectable car market. Ford RS products have rocketed, Porsche products also gone mad. There’s almost no interest rate in the current economy and many were looking for automotive investments...
We’ll see. Ideally if I could find one, I would like the one with the Cup Racer rear box, it has straight cut outlets rather than the large polished inwardly rolled items. I’ll see how I get on with this and go from there. Maybe if I can swap to the race one for little/no extra outlay that would...
