Finally got 5 min to give the old girl a clean, as it hadn’t been washed in 3 weeks and usually it’s every week without fail. Doesn’t come up bad for 14 years old and 116k miles. Inferno is such an odd colour. No filters on these and it looks different in every light.

Wanting some fixed buckets specifically for my road car to be used with a 3 point belt. Anybody have experience of either the above seats or even better both seats?

Absolutely. These cars are knocking on 15 years old now. So replacing items like that just seems like a good preventive measure. Chunky earth going from battery to chassis point and then chassis point on to the engine. ?

Another earth lead. I always add a couple of extra earth points back to the battery and chassis from the engine. Always helps running and overall performance in my experience. Especially as the Clio earth lead is a weedy little item and just a single low gauge wire.

Another little job, Noticed the exhaust clamp behind the cat was on borrowed time the other day and decided to order a new heavy duty stainless one. Small job, I’ll never see it, but never the less satisfying.

Dusted under the rear wing with some Bilt Hamber Dynax UB before refitting it. Also did the same when I took the front bumper off to fit the Cup washer blanks. Also on the look out for a recently rebuilt gearbox with a Quaife diff. If you have or know of a good gearbox I have cash waiting...

I fitted a brand new Renault leather one. However I’m not feeling the embossed top, so trying to refinish my original silver insert to how it was. My old one was worn out. If you check on the last few posts you’ll see what I mean.

Still not convinced on the new gear knob top. It doesn’t feel quite right with the embossed letters. So playing with silvers to try and replicate the OEM Renault shade for the 182. I’ll add a decal to this and lacquer it in.

Shouldn’t be too bad if you’re doing all the labour and prep. My issue is it’s my daily car. I need it for work and it does 50 miles a day. Not like I can use public transport or cycle. It’s 100% about doing preventative maintenance on these cars now though while you can.

The eBay kits are all pretty good mate. You should be fine with any of them from a reputable brand.

You can either do that, but it will be messy when it dumps all its fluid. Or easier to drop the calipers off and use an airline to blow them out. I’d be tempted to use the brake pedal to push them all out 90% of the way. Then pull them out the last bit by hand using no tools unless you’re 100%...
