Ah sorry Nick, you are correct.
It was the rears that they put on over the originals, that is where the trouble usually starts on them
now that I think about it.
Still a great looking car though, Fords from around the late 1990's/early 2000's really did offer some
really good looking, cutting...
I'm probably wrong on this and I wouldn't rely too much on my memory but I always thought they
basically stuck the wider wings onto the originals, which is why they suffered from rust and rot
as it was a moisture trap between the two bits of metal.
Having only driven a few of those selected,I would have to say DC2 for the top spot as well.
It has the magic handling, great body hugging Recaros where you sit just perfectly and all the controls are just so right.
Then to top it off you have that unreal combination of one of the best manual...
Really was a brilliant read Craig.
For me personally I always like reading and holding an actual magazine so it would be a nice bonus if it was produced.
But at least there is always the online option as well.
Just curious, does anyone have any data for prices achieved for other Trophy's sold in Switzerland/France?
Seeing as those countries got a lot less cars than the UK when launched, you would think prices would be even higher than those for sale in the UK.
At least there is "usually" a pretty...
I love any of the gear knobs in any Type-R.
Extra nerdy bonus points for the gear-lever cover in the NSX-R NA2 that is mesh
and saves a few very vital extra few grammes in weight ;)
Not only do they look that extra bit special and of course being made from titanium
gives them extra bonus...
Any ideas for the reasons, economy, cost of living increases, time of year, other priorities etc...
Have sales of enthusiast and performance cars slowed down in general?
Very true,I just have a Mini and a 205 Gti.
I did come close to buying a Trophy about 5 years ago up North, but it was just too much at the time.
But I'm still dipping in and out of here, lurking 😉😂
I believe there was another one down towards the South of the country but I think that is now for sale with a dealer.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to make my way over to Scotland yet,its on my bucket list though.
I'd also need a car that was able to live up to the challenge of those roads...
Safe to say there aren't too many Trophies on Irish soil I'd imagine.
You will be able to enjoy some of those great driving Scottish roads on the way over and back 😉
Very nice example,it must be well up there for one of the longest ownerships as well.
Just at a nice mileage as well so the next owner wont be worrying about putting mileage on one they are reluctant to drive.
I dont think it will be for sale too long either, good luck with it.
Jesus any Trophy owner would nearly need to add a wing onto the house to store all the magazines the Trophy has been in over the years 😂
Look forward to reading this issue.
And that is another car for my dream, imaginary garage Nick,a DC2 Integra 😎
Man,you'd imagine the damage could be repaired by someone willing to buy the car, especially at that sort of mileage.
I might have missed it but does it mention anywhere what actual damage was done to it?
