On the other hand I think I would have gone for the 911 GT3 4.0 and the McLaren 675LT,
both roughly the same price as Tom Brady's jersey.
Different strokes for different folks I guess
They might have been pumping extra clean and oxygenated air into that casino,
instead of giving the bidders too much blood to the head, it was a bit too much O2 maybe :D
I must be missing something about the M3...what a price for it!!
Never seen that colour in the metal but by all accounts its one of the
best one's for the 205.
Hopefully it works out for you and someone will be interested in doing a swap.
Ah....tis a little bit sorry for itself in a few places.
Under the bonnet looks like someone has fire bombed it
This would be my pick Nick, more expensive at just under £23k, but it looks bloody immaculate and has had
a decent bit of expense put into it recently by the looks of it...
To my shame,I have never been.
Here is Molls Gap as shown by two unbelievable drivers, both taken far far too soon.
Craig Breen
Colin McRae
Both driving it as intended,in a Mk2 Escort.
I can only imagine what it would be like to tackle a road like that in a Trophy, certainly get the blood...
Like that Nick, even the plainest of plain Jane's can be desirable things to own and even admire.
Seeing a car like that now, even something that was so common and probably got zero attention when it was new, might just get more attention than a Lamborghini in some retina melting colour 😁
It...
I would consider that a very decent example, you've obviously put a lot of effort and money into looking after it and it really stands to it.
Best of luck with the sale,I'm sure it will find a suitable new home and owner fairly quickly.
Hi Craig, thanks for the reply.
I actually ordered a copy last night on your website.
I can see it coming to about €30 once Vat and any other little sneaky charges are added by our delightful import inspectors.
It's a pity, but theres not much that can be done about it.
I'm sure you will have...
Great to see you are going to print Craig,I think there is a demand there for something like this.
And I can only guess there ain't going to be no EV talk in this 😉
Do you post to Ireland?
Man isn't the car buyers world nearly unrecognisable from just a few years ago.
You would certainly need a good chunk more readies now, even to buy just one of those iconic cars.
Sounds like this is going to be a cracking edition of Evo.
Look forward to getting a copy in 2/3 weeks when it lands on the shelves over here.
Then it will be onto Autotrader to see how much scrimping is required to get my arse into one of the cars listed 🙄
Is this another one that you might call good value.
A William's 1 thats just gone for £13k that's seemingly had a good few parts and a respray recently?
Its probably not a concours quality car but still...
In the grand scheme of things and when you've seen so many properly good enthusiasts
cars going stratospheric with their prices over the last few years, I think that is not a bad
price at all.
Looking at the pictures and reading the description, that is a really very good example.
You can tell...
From the description
"For the last seven years, it has been dry stored on a vehicle lift to avoid any weight on the wheels."
I can honestly say, I have never heard of this being done before, keeping the weight off the wheels.
Anyone any ideas of why this might be done or why it might be seen...
Strictly this isn't a Trophy (obviously) but I just thought it was a very nice example of a 182 Cup.
You can tell a bit of money has been spent looking after it and its had some careful previous owners by the looks of it at least...
Hell of a lot of time and money gone into that.
I've started to notice more show cars with those ultra clean and tidy
engine bays, with all of the wiring and nearly everything else hidden away.
It would go very well with that engine and the fact it probably only weighs
in or around 8/850 kgs...
