The last bloke who tried to sell a PHY number on FB got laughed off.....albeit he wanted about £3k for it !
If you are wanting anymore than 500 quid for it I’d get ready for a rough ride !
Just do it on an ordinary policy, save some money. Really the only time it counts is if you crash it to the degree that it’s written off .....in reality how likely is it when balanced against the number of miles you do. I pay £115 to insure mine, the last renewal quote I got with greenlight with...
I have made a couple of wooden blocks to use when I’ve wanted to jack up at the jacking points. A block about 5”x 3”. I then cut out a “groove” about 1/2” wide by 1” deep in the block so the sill “seam” sits in it. Use that on top of the trolley jack pad.
That’s interesting because my post was sort of prompted by the fact I thought cars were being put up for sale at that sort of money but were struggling to sell. I guess we see them advertised but often don’t find out if they sold

Obviously as owners we like to think the worth of the car has increased over what we paid. It seems however that prices have flattened somewhat. I get the feeling that any Trophy, regardless of mileage or condition will struggle to make £8k. There were some that maybe 2yrs ago sold for over...
if you get offered anywhere near £5k snatch their hand off for a 100k mile car. I don’t think it’s about what you ask for it but what you get offered and negotiate from there. I’m reckoning on them bidding you £2k
I use mine on the hose pipe to wash my bikes as it seems kinder on them than hitting them with a full washer. The snow foam works well too. The pressure is somewhere between garden hose power and mains pressure power. Works better on some spray patterns better than others. Overall a good tool...
On the usual comparison sites I’m getting quotes of around £130 which nearly £100 less than Highway Ins through greenlight.
I accept there are issues around the value of these cars come a total loss claim but given it sits garaged most of the time and certainly the last couple of years I’m not...
im actually thinking of moving my business, they came back with a £220 quote which is about £40 more than I pay for my £25k Elise. I don’t pay more than £200 on any of my cars so I think it’s time to move
Greenlight referred it back to the Insurer who have now agreed to renew ( obviously if I choose to do so with them)
apparently they were concerned the car was being used without MOT !!! They have since checked SORN record
I just got a voicemail message left from Greenlight to say the insurer had been in touch to say they no longer insure cars that are not MOT’d so unless I proposed to test it before renewal date they were unable to accept my renewal

Sorry for attention grabbing headline.
I had a message left by Greenlight insurance to say the underwriter wont renew as the car has no current MOT. i would have thought as the car has been SORN for a couple of years therefore not being driven they would welcome insuring it with the risk of it...
I’ve just been following the FS thread on FB for the Trophy up for sale on there. Are some people born stupid, do they inherit it or just develop it as they get older...I won’t say grow up as that’s doing them a favour. The comments with regard to value, condition etc just defy belief. On the...
You’ve done very well with that. With prices dropping and the car being away from standard I thought you’d do well to get your asking price. Not many cars have sold for over £7k recently. Glad both buyer and seller were happy which is what it’s all about
I’ve not been particularly active on the forum for a while. I’ve not used my car for well over 12 months now. From what I’ve seen the cars have taken a fair old slump in values with little interest in any coming up for sale. I’m a little bewildered by this given the frenzy over them in 2017...
I would sit on your hands if I were you. I agree with Mossy on the one you put the link to. I certainly wouldn’t be throwing that M3 in as a PX you will lose on the deal all ends up
