i know what you mean but really these days what do you get for that sort of money or more to the point what car could you stick 8k into and possibly sell for the same money or more in 2 yrs time. My mate has spent that much on a mk6 golf GTD with 60k miles that will be worth 5k Max in 2 yrs.
£8100 on hammer.... blimey that’s poor for these boys, it’s actually sold for more or less what it’s worth. I guess it depends on who’s looking and on the bidding keyboard
Whats the score with these guys, do they take the car off the seller and do their own prep on it for photograph? In fairness they do take photos of absolutely every aspect of the car, warts and all. I’m not sure about the silly lit shots in the grey breeze block building. I know buyer pays...
Maybe you need to update the eBay title, it’s not ageless or dateless it’s a 1999 plate so can only be displayed on a car of that year or newer. Most people should know that but you don’t want to fall foul if it goes wrong
I’m guessing the dealer has put it up there to gauge interest and set his price accordingly. They all know there is a lot of interest in these cars at the moment so he will be looking at maximising profit, the “viable” bit is just a smokescreen, he knows what he paid for it and will be hoping it...
Given the weather forecast for today I thought I’d crack open the Williams Ceramic paint protection kit. I was given a couple of them a while back but left them on the shelf mainly because I was dubious as to the claims about these products and secondly the work involved.
Aware of the claimed...
Still driving round on the original 16yr old Yoka’s on my wife’s MR2 roadster. It’s done 20k. I’m sure they aren’t going to fail so catastrophically the car will be destroyed. Not worried at all
I do wonder how the buyers on this auction site get pulled into paying the prices, buying a car unseen and based on a catalogue of well filtered photos, guessing it’s just auction giddiness.
You are doing a nice job with it, calipers look great. Have you sourced a front splitter for it.....oh and get rid of that plastic cover over the inlets under the bonnet.....they look shocking ?
I didnt put a lot on you FB ad as it annoys me how people knock cars for sale on there but really the only way forward is a new bonnet, by the time a decent bodyshop has spent time chopping out the rot, welding in a new piece filling etc it’s prob cheaper to get a new bonnet.
The photo of the...
This one was last for sale in 2017 at £10750 on 40k
lots of scenic distant shots with the usual ramblings on the unique qualities of the Trophy we’ve read a thousand times.
Looks a decent car, shite mats, messy engine bay....plenty more to pick at. As we know with these boys, folk get giddy...
I bought it about 6 yrs ago I think but done very few miles in it. I’ve spent my time getting it up to this condition when I suppose I should have been driving it
cheers fellas. I must say I went to bring mine home with something of an intention of taking advantage of the buoyant market and sticking it up for sale at £9k which going by recent sales would be a good buy for anyone. Having driven it home I parked it on the drive and it rained, the water...
last year, even 6 months ago, you struggled to shift a Trophy for anything like reasonable money. The ones for sale seemed to be listed week after week. This last few weeks they are selling faster than bog rolls in April.
I brought mine home today from its extended stay in heated storage with...
