If you are an existing customer you will get the same value you got last year. Beyond that it’s just market value.......which is anyone’s guess. The Trophy these days seems to attract little of a premium over a decent 182. A 60k mile car is realistically worth about £6k now
The lad lives in Holland, I got some replies from him but not confident to dump that sort of money across there. I don’t need them but thought i might speculate.
It’s not a negative observation but over my 40years of driving I’ve read it many times so what is the perceived selling point of “motorway miles” over miles done on a variety of roads including motorways?
So simplistically I’m thinking the clutch possibly hasn’t been pressed as many times, the...
Although I gave my place up I’m still pleased I made post #8 with the words “group buy?” I feel like I was a catalyst to the success of the operation :grinning:
Don’t mess about, get it painted. It’s an easy colour match for a decent body shop, they can blend it into the top of the wings and it will look great. You have to accept though that if you use it you will get it chipped again
Im not sure I understand this one, maybe I’m reading it wrong but I would question that prices are on the up. I think that statement is possibly 6 months to a year out of date. Certainly there are a few up for sale...6 on PH and 9 on EBay which is unprecedented so definitely more than a few for...
There’s 6 for sale on PH and about 9 on eBay, obviously some overlap but it’s a buyers market at the moment with very few buyers. I think the harsh reality is that if you have a car with 100k plus on the clock you’re going to be at the bottom of the shopping list unless you pitch it round...
12 months ago you’d have been pitching it in at £9k ish with that sort of provenance but with the way the focus has gone off these cars I don’t think I would even bother offering it for sale unless you really do want do sell or happy to take low ball bids. That said there aren’t too many “low...
Just look out for some used ones and get them refinished. I’ve had 3 sets during the time I’ve had the car, I’m down to 2 sets now, the ones on the car and a spare set. There’s some on here with even more than that.
Keep away from the Renault supplied new ones, as Dablk says, they have casting...
Ah right ! Obviously my understanding was clouded by Timothy Taylor last night  although that looks more like hitting the nail on the head, into the head. Really no need for 2 heads in the photo, well 3 if you include the hammer head !
I thought about quoting flebays post but chose not to repeat a photo of some bald bloke with a nail in the head. If anyone can explain the meaning of it to me fair enough, otherwise just seems like bollocks nonsense
Ian, dont be too surprised if you find these cars aren’t the preserve of the young lads. At a guess you’re a bit younger than me. I do agree that pound for pound they are good value. Even at the higher end of the pricing they represent fair value after all what do you get these days for £9k...
Without doubt they are a good driving car, I question how much or if any better they are than the regular 182, certainly I couldn’t really split my Trophy and Cup on handling and in the end it would come down to driving ability. Without question they are very limited in numbers and no doubt...
A quick search on eBay brings up about 6 cars, all of which seem to have been for sale a while. What is it with these cars that makes it a feast or famine market. There’s the odd nutcase dealer who has obviously got caught trying to flip for a fortune but most seem realistically priced cars but...
I had both of the cars done by a lad local to me in Doncaster. He does a really good job. I guess anyone with the equipment could sort it for you.

A bit rich for me I’m afraid but no doubt quality if you fancy something like it
Wondered how you’d got on Mark, I guessed it was either ok or you were standing on the hard shoulder waiting for the RAC ? The car has nothing to hide, good to deal with you, look after it or sell it to a loving owner. I’ve put a lot of time and money into it, it would be nice if it was appreciated.
I should think anyone that may have one tucked away with delivery miles is in it for the long haul and wouldn’t be tempted with anything south of £20k.
Thanks Chris. Without blowing my own trumpet anyone looking for one would struggle to find a better one. Maybe north of £4K people may think it expensive but it’s a car someone could buy knowing there is nothing left to spend on it. Bearing in mind there is £1k in the seats, steering wheel and...
