Mine's a two car collection; 182 Trophy and Honda S2000 GT.

DSC00288.JPG

It's a Jan 2006 registered car (55 plate), so has all the improvements of the '04 onwards facelift, but with the pre-March 2006 tax benefit of being £340 a year instead of £585 (y)

will2705 I would definitely have never had Johnny Herbert down as someone who owned a Skyline before, more a Jaaaag or Aston look about him I think 😁

Although I'm sure he would have owned those sort of cars as well over the years.

Loving the S2000,extra points for the red interior 👍

Are they as twitchy at the back as some people say or is that more so just online gossip?

Cheers!

The reputation for spiky handling is well earned (speaking from experience!) The steering is an early example of EPAS, so doesn’t give a great deal of feedback.

Tyre technology has moved on a long way from the OE Bridgestones too. Most owners in the S2KOC will tell you that fitting a modern performance tyre (think F1 AS5 or MPS4) and having a proper alignment done (they are very sensitive to this) transforms the car. It’s on my to-do list once the current tyres are due for replacement.

Thinking about getting myself another car next year. Was thinking of a Megane RS 265 or a Golf GTI or maybe a grand tourer convertible like a SLK. Anyone got either of those?

some great cars on here! The guy I bought my Trophy off had a near identical AP2 to you @mhj360. AP2 are great cars, less edgy than the AP1.

Looking through the list of cars it could be safely said we've probably ticked off someone's bucket list haha.

Other than the Trophy I've also got an 07 997 C2S, way better for long drives but 70% of the fun on the twisty stuff compared to the Trophy.

My choice of that list would be the RS 265 (great fun, very practical, great for long drives too) unless you are looking at the older SLK55 :)

Thanks @where.is.lee! If I'm being a pedant, it's technically an AP1 facelift :ROFLMAO: AP2 was the designation for the facelift model in the USA which got the larger F22C1 engine.

Lovely looking Porsche! The 997 is a real sweet spot I think.

Ahh yes you are right, true AP2 were JDM and USDM only with the F22C. Though the rest of the world still got all the AP2 upgrades with the facelift bar the motor. Still a great looking car 21 years later, friend of a friend had the uber expensive Mugen hard top on his facelift S2K with an enormous parts shopping list.

Yeah the 997 is a great car though makes the Trophy feel like a go kart.
